  • Mentally exhausted right now? You are not alone. Episode 16
It's so good to be back and recording an episode again and this one is short and shares an important message. You are not alone, take time to fill your cup and don't allow the pressure of the time of year to add more pressure. I've been sensing so much mental exhaustion around me as many people go through many life challenges and even still processing the last few years and with it still ongoing and making it's impact in our lives, it has been a challenge in different ways for all. So I'm wishing you rest, and peace and contentment and a time of refreshing as you head into December, make Christmas the way you want it with the people that you love and cherish and if it's a hard time for you, I am thinking of you and holding space for you today.

  • Finding Joy and living your best life with Sophie K Coaching Episode 15
My guest on the podcast is none other than Sophie from Sophie K Coaching www.sophiek.co.nz is her website. I'm honoured to hold space for Sophie and her infectious energy and love for life and adventure! I hope you enjoy this episode!

My name is Sophie K and I am a coach, a mother of two, a lover of adventure and a juggler of many hats. I love my life, my life loves me back.

But it wasn’t always this way.

I know what it’s like to feel stressed and overwhelmed; almost constantly. Feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day to do everything. Between my professional and personal life there just wasn’t enough time or energy left for me at the end of the day.

The result? Life was always hard. My mental and physical health suffered. The people I loved the most ended up getting the worst of me. I felt disempowered in my relationships and my career and just never seemed to manifest what I truly wanted in life.

So what changed? I realised the common denominator in all of this was ME. I realized that if I wanted to change my life, I needed to start BEING HONEST WITH MYSELF, follow what brought me joy and take some empowered action towards the life I really wanted.

And if I can do this, so can you! So now I have made it my mission to empower others to find their joy zone, confidence and rediscover their love for life by giving them a safe space to explore who they really are and the kind of life they want to create.

Lani has 40-years’ experience serving in various pastoral positions which allowed her to develop rapport with mature members of the congregations. Within all those years she, along with her siblings, cared for aging parents and her sister who passed from an 8-year battle with cancer.

Lani’s creative future is now focused on working with people 50+ who are on a path of self-discovery. Using her skills as a Sophrologist and Cognitive Behaviour Therapist Lani guides clients through self-discovery. • Mindful eating with Dani from Nourished You! Episode 13
We cover some important topics that need to be spoken about with Dani from Nourished You which includes conversations around Naturopathy and what it is, health, mindful eating, and cultivating a trust in ourselves and our body to intuitively tune into what our bodies need. She calls it coming home to ourselves. I love that!

With 10 years studying and practicing within the health and wellness industry, qualified Naturopath Dani has found her purpose helping women learn to tune back into themselves and find a way of eating that makes them feel good, so they can trust they are nourishing their body through conscious food choices, not a meal plan. Through her own experiences navigating a negative relationship with food and seeing many women struggle with the same, Dani’s greatest joy is to help women feel nourished again, in ALL areas of their lives, starting with connecting back to their bodies and the way they nourish themselves.

I absolutely loved connecting with Dani and feel honoured to hold space for her wisdom, expertise and knowledge. If you would love to connect with Dani, her website link is below a well as the link to her Instagram account.

  • Aging gracefully - changing the narrative EPISODE 12
In this episode I chat again with dear friend Vickie (who also works in the skincare industry) about aging gracefully and what this looks like in a world where beauty can be marketed with unrealistic ideals! We cover topics from skincare essentials and actives, what really matters in our skincare routine, the mindset that is healthy for us to adopt as women when it comes to aging. Beauty from inside out. Taking our power back as consumers in the cosmetic industry by voting through what we consume and where we choose buy our products from. Let's align our values with our purchasing behaviour and not be dictated to by marketing that can remind us that we are not enough.

I hope you enjoy the discussion on this topic and as always I'd love to hear your thoughts too!

  • Lend an ear for better mental health with Saira-Ellen from www.ariasdesignco.com (Episode 10)
It's incredibly important to continue in normalising mental health conversations with our family, friends, colleagues, the community around us and checking up on each other and asking that important question. Are you ok? In this episode we chat about Saira's story and journey on her why behind her business, grief and mental health recovery, boundaries, social connections in light of healing from grief and more in an authentic, safe and relaxed space.

I'm so happy to be able to hold space for this conversation with Saira from Arias Design Co who founded her beautiful business of handmade polymer clay earrings jewellery in memory of her beloved brother Sami. Her business is very much about raising funds to make a positive impact in the mental health space through workshops 'Lend an ear for better mental health' and contribute to the Mental Health Foundation in NZ through the sales of her earrings. Saira also raises funds for different needs around her including funds raised for Voices For Children, a Ukrainian based organisation that ordinarily helps provide psychological support to children who have suffered due to the war.

Her jewellery pieces are inspired by nature and her latest collection Kaleydo is inspired by the ocean. Other collections - florals and flowers, boutique and boho. Arias design believes in slow fashion and is all about small batch. Ethical and hand made here in New Zealand.
