How can we move forward in midlife or beyond when someone we care about doesn't understand our path?

Standing alone in our choices can be the hardest thing we do. So often, our loved ones have good intentions of advising us against our longing. They may think what you desire to do is unusual, irresponsible, or plain crazy.  But we don't need permission to change course. If we stay true in our Knowing, and follow our hearts, then others around us will eventually see the best of us.

In this episode, I speak of the difference between doubt, and fear. How being afraid to do what excites you the most just means it's out of your comfort zone. If your dreams don't scare you a little then the dream isn't big enough.

Do you remember being 13? The year you were old enough to venture out on your own a bit, but still were full of wonder and enthusiasm? Somewhere along the line, we stopped feeling the magic of anything is possible.

In this episode I talk about all the things 13 year olds experience that as adults we have forgotten and are too fearful to embrace. I speak of the reasons why we need to get back to feeling open minded as a 13 year old is, and open our hearts as well.

Taking chances, always being up for adventures, believing in spirits, angels, and the power of The Universe , and feeling everything so intensely, can often be viewed as irresponsible, or childish in the adult world. But you left a part of you back there when you ditched your young teenage self. I'm suggesting you find him/her again.

There are some lessons in life that just take us longer to learn than others.

It isn't always easy to let go of things that don't serve us. It also isn't easy to change habits that have shaped us for many years. But it CAN be done.

In this episode, I explain what it is that I learned about a decade ago and have since been putting it into practice. I can say I've learned it, but it doesn't mean I've mastered it. It is a constant work in progress that has changed the way I live my life. I can honestly say, my life is better now for it and just keeps getting better.

Setting goals can sometimes feel like a daunting task. It can be overwhelming to make an exhaustive list of all we wish to achieve. But what if it didn't have to be?

A dear friend of mine invited me to get together for a fun activity of goal setting into four categories that would be broken into bite size lists. Monthly goals that we could either check off a list, or carry over into the next month.

This isn't just a To-Do-List. This is an accountability chart that when put in a prominent spot in your office or home, is a reminder of all the things you wish to bring into your life.
