Beautiful View

We certainly are not strangers to an adventure! In fact, we LOVE adventures! But, we do tend to approach them differently. In this episode, we are going to talk about what exactly it means to have a sense of adventure, share some funny stories with you, and talk about how the two of us “adventure” differently.

In this episode we discuss the importance of community gathering spaces with Tom Olberding, owner of Textile Brewing Co. in Dyersville, Iowa, and River Ridge Brewing in Bellevue, Iowa. Gathering places are spaces where people naturally congregate. They foster social interaction and a sense of belonging, and can include a variety of venues.

In this episode we are LIVE! in front of an enthusiastic crowd at River Ridge Brewing in Bellevue, Iowa. Last weekend we joined five other podcasts at "On Tap!" - A Live Podcast Event - and here's the evidence!

We discuss the magical aspects of winter by the Mississippi, and reflect on how each season has its own pace and "flavor".

In this episode we will be sharing some reflections with you as we look back on the past year. Then we will be sharing our 2025 Word of the Year, with some encouragement, as we begin the next chapter of our individual stories.

Also, watch out for our "first" podcast-worthy "slight" disagreement.

We wanted to revisit an episode from this time last year to remember and honor our friend, Tyler, who was a light to all who knew him. We sat down in our living room together that day, and Tyler and Kelsie shared their story and a message of hope with us. We hope it will be a blessing to you today.

Is this place sacred? When the student asked us that question, he said he was pretty sure he already knew the answer, but wanted to see how we answered. From the moment they walked into our home, they felt the warmth and safeness of this space.

Our life, our family, this podcast, and any place we work or live in is set aside for the glory of God.
