Beautiful View

We are so glad you are here. This episode is going to be a little bit different than usual. Every once in a while, we like to tackle a serious subject. Today, we are going to talk about something that is very near dear to our hearts. October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month and October 16th also happens to be our daughter, Lily’s, 17th heavenly birthday.

We realize this is a very sensitive subject, but we also feel like telling Lily’s story can be helpful, and start the journey to healing, for some, who like we did at the time… feel like they are trying to navigate that road alone.

We are Paul & Candy. Welcome to our podcast where we encourage you to look for opportunities in your life to see a beautiful view. Sit back and relax!

When we traveled full-time in our RV, I kept a blog of our experiences and recorded things that were on my heart during those days. At one point, I wrote a little blog called, “Today is the Day.”  It captured what was in my heart at the time. It captured how fleeting I felt time was. I was watching my kids grow up before my eyes. I could feel time passing as if I was sitting in slow motion and everything around me was in fast forward.

We are on a big family vacation with my 3 siblings, their families, and my Daddy! We are going to talk about the importance of family, how we keep in touch with everyone, and some of the challenges of living so far away from them.

In the early days of our relationship, Candy traveled to England twice to visit me. To see where I grew up, meet my family, and just experience the country. It was a big adventure! In this episode we have a little fun walking down memory lane.

We thought it would be fun to do a little throwback to tell the story of when this British guy moved to Texas to marry Candy. There were things to adapt to and big cultural differences between England and Texas. Paul couldn’t have picked a more stereotypical West Texas family to marry into! This is going to be fun!

We have had a sign hanging in our RV that says, “Life is a Journey… enjoy it.” We found it years ago when we first hit the road full-time in our RV. It has been such a great reminder over the years.
