I wasn’t planning to drop this week’s podcast early, but what happened to my friend today? Whew—this one’s too scandalous to sit on.
PS. LOTS Of F-BOMBS in this video, fair warning. 🙋🏻♀️
Lisa, aka Kitchen Killa Lisa, is hilarious, fearless, over 40, and has that rare kind of “press record and go viral” energy most of us would kill for.
She built a TikTok following from under 20,000 to over 738,000 in less than a year…by doing nothing more than showing up as her authentic, no-editing, no-BS self.
No trends. No 3-hour editing sprees.Just raw, funny, real talk, about life, bras, aging, and yes… menopause.
And then?
TikTok banned her.
No warning. No appeal that made sense. No specific violation she could actually fight.
One day she’s helping women feel seen. The next, she’s gone. Just like that.
The "Violation"? Saying “menopause” brain
That’s it.
A totally normal word, describing a completely universal experience for half the population—flagged by the algorithm as “offensive.”
Meanwhile, TikTok’s still boosting bikini thirst traps, conspiracy theorists, and literal hate speech accounts.
But mention hormone shifts or perimenopause brain fog?
Strike. Violation. Banned.
The Problem Isn’t Just TikTok. It’s the Whole Damn System.
Lisa’s story isn’t an outlier. It’s a preview of what happens when:
* You build your business on platforms you don’t control
* You say things the algorithm doesn’t “like”
* You’re at the mercy of AI
* You don’t fit the 25-year-old, perky-tits, duck-lips mold
TikTok, Meta, YouTube….they don’t care about your story. They care about your content output and ad revenue potential.
And the moment you stop being useful? Or worse, become a liability?
They pull the plug.
This is your warning shot.
If you’re a creator, founder, writer, especially over 40, trying to build something real—do not build it all on rented land.
Because one day, it will come crashing down. Not because you did something wrong. But because the algorithm decided you’re not what it wants today.
So What Now?
Lisa’s on Substack now. She also started her new account here. She’s rebuilding from the ashes. She’s owning her email list, showing up for her audience, and refusing to stay quiet.
And she’s not alone. We’re bringing the whole damn squad with us.
If you're tired of the algorithm gaslighting you…
If you want a space where you can talk real shit without getting flagged for being human…
If you want to build something that lasts?
Start here. Stay here. We’re done begging bots for permission to be ourselves.

Because platforms can ban you.
But when you own your audience?
You’re untouchable. What are your thoughts on all of this?
