Michigan Baseball has hit a rough patch over the past week or so, losing 3 of 4 at home. The good news? The Pitching has stepped up and put the team in a position to win. The Bad? The entire offense is slumping, totaling 25 hits in 4 games. However, this is a HUGE weekend for the program. The historic Cal State Fullerton Titans are taking a mid season road trip to Ann Arbor/Ray Fisher Stadium. This series is about the results and hard work this program has achieved under Coach Bakich. #LFG

Opening Day is here! Everyone is in First place... yes, even the Orioles! This should be a fun season for MLB... we have a full time DH in both leagues. GOOD. We have a more balanced schedule. The Wolverines lost a tough game at Nebraska  but rallied to win game 2 and then took the series Sunday to kick off the league schedule.  The offense was dominant and everyone contributed. Matt Frey, Jimmy Obertop,  Ted Burton and Tito Flores all had weekends and made history. In Friday night's game, they hit four consecutive home runs. A new Big Ten Record. Michigan faces the Iowa Hawkeyes starting today at the Fish to kick off the home portion of the conference schedule. #LFG

Michigan has faced a gauntlet in the non conference slate and has a top 25 schedule. Hopefully , the payoff starts this week as the Wolverines open the Big Ten season in Lincoln, Nebraska vs the defending conference champion Cornhuskers.  The next 2,3 weeks will tell us a lot about this team and what the postseason should look like. #LFG

Michigan has ended the preseason portion of our season and opens the home slate today and throughout the weekend. The ship took on some water in Louisville and Vanderbilt but it is always darkest before the dawn. This team can hit and just needs more consistency on the mound. Weather, travel issues and youth have combined to be factors. But I am 100% confident this group will figure it out and we will contend for the Big Ten Championship.

Michigan Baseball completes their preseason road trips this weekend as they travel to Kentucky to face a strong Louisville club. The Wolverines have made steady progress vs some very strong teams in warm weather venues. The starting pitchers are getting 5+ innings and the hitting/lineup has stabilized. This series is a big test to see where The 2022 squad stands. #LFG
