Week 5 saw more crazy offense (Hello, Browns and Chargers!), another team break the heart of Detroit with a last second LONG field goal ( Vikings) and the Arizona remaining undefeated. The Jets are still the Jets, Dallas puts up Arena League #s, The Buffalo Bills are the top team in the AFC and Lamar Jackson is becoming scary good. AND trouble in.. Kansas City and Vegas. All of this in Week 5 review.

The Bucs offense put on a show and pulled away late while the D made plays all day as The Super Bowl Champions defeated The Miami Dolphins 45-17. Tom Brady had 400 + yards passing and 5 TDs for the first time in his Hall of Fame Career. Mike Evans and Antonio Brown had 2 TDs each while Leonard Fournette excelled in the pass and run games. Meanwhile, the defense  stepped up with Shaq Barrett, Ndamukong Suh, Mike Edwards and Jamel Dean all making plays. The win puts the Bucs at 4-1 and they travel to Philly this week to play on Thursday Night Football.

Week 4 was memorable for a lot of reasons and the league saw some great action. Justin Fields started, Zach Wilson won, Trey Lance played and Mac Jones went head to head vs the World Champions (and Tom Brady!).  Dallas continues to impress and Kansas City is starting to resemble Kansas City again.  With Our special guest  Andover High School Special Teams coach coordinator Peter Reilly, we break down week 4.

The Bucs defense made a late stop while Tom Brady and the offense did  enough as the Super Bowl Champs went on the road to defeat a game New England Patriots in front of a ruckus crowd in Foxboro.  Leonard Fournette was a force and the defense harassed and hammered Pats rookie QB Mac Jones all night. Tampa Bay finishes the 1st quarter of the season 3-1 and continues to battle thru injuries in the defensive backfield.

Any big games this weekend, folks? LOL The Bucs are traveling to New England to face the former team of their star QB and TE: The Patriots. After 20 yrs of unprecedented success on both an individual and franchise level this game comes with an almost Super Bowl Level hype. And features the very first live battle between Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. #LFG

Week 3 was interesting and saw historic special teams plays. Not often we see a 109 yard missed field goal return or a 66 yard walk off kick to win a game. Meanwhile, Derek Carr and the Raiders continue to win and Aaron Rodgers can win games late if you let him hang around.

The Los Angeles Rams christened their new stadium and defeated the Super Bowl Champ Buccaneers  Sunday 34-24. Cooper Kupp and Matthew Stafford exploited an injury riddled Tampa secondary while Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey led the defense. Tom Brady and the offense played well at times but can (and will!) be better. The Bucs travel Sunday to Foxboro, home of the 6 time Super Bowl Champs.

The Bucs begin the road schedule this week when they travel to California to face a tough and explosive Los Angeles Rams team. Tampa will have to adjust to both the crowd noise (First "true" road game since 2019) and one of the top defenses in the NFL.  Meanwhile, it appears highly likely The Bucs will be down a star on each side of the ball.

Week 2 is in the books and the NFL continues to get some great thrillers on National TV. The Ravens/Chiefs and NY Giants/ Washington Football team games went down the wire. Hell, even the Lions gave us a good half of football. Story lines are emerging before the end of the 1st quarter of the season: 5 rookie QBs are now starting (4 2021 First round picks) while a 6th is getting reps in San Francisco. Lots of QB attrition early in the 2021 campaign. This league is crazy and all you need to see to verify  that is this fact: 2 weeks in and ONLY 7 Undefeated teams remain!!!  2 from the AFC and the 7 teams are only from 3 divisions.  (AFC West, NFC South and West) #LFG

The Bucs rode Tom Brady (5 Passing TDs) and the offense for most of the game; while the defense secured a 48-25 win in week 2. Safety Mike Edwards had back to back Pick 6 interception returns as Tampa pulled away with a 20-0 fourth quarter. Matt Ryan and the Falcons offense made this a contest late into the game and the Bucs made enough mistakes to allow them to hang around. Tampa is now 2-0 and working thru some "September Football" stuff. LFG
