UM baseball suffered a tough series loss last weekend but the team is still in contention for the Big 10 championship. The Wolverines travel to Illinois this weekend to face both Northwestern and the Illinin in 4 games over three days. LFG

The Wolverines swept 3 games in Minnesota last weekend and remain half a game out of 1st place in a competitive Big Ten race. Michigan hosts a scrappy &  grinding Rutgers team in a 3 game series this weekend at the Fish.  UM most continue to play well to stay in the race for goal #1: The Big Ten conference regular season title.

Michigan Baseball took 2 out of 3 vs the Buckeyes last weekend and is right there to win the Big Ten Championship.  The combination of timely hitting, pitching and defense translates well in any environment. The Wolverines will need that approach as they go on the road to face a struggling Minnesota squad.  #LFG

Another tough weekend of Big Ten Baseball has Michigan high in the standings and playing good ball. 4,5 teams are all grouped together and the championship is there for the Wolverines. The Boys in Blue host a huge series vs the Buckeyes this weekend in Ann Arbor. Every game matters now and these games could determine the conference title. #LFG

Covid 1- Michigan Hockey 0. Welcome to 2020/21.  The Wolverines got eliminated by something they can't out skate, score or check: Covid 19. Two separate tests DQed the squad at the Dakota regional without the puck dropping. The team heads into the 2021/22 with some big name talent making decisions about their own future at Michigan and/or in the NHL.

Michigan Baseball continues to play solid ball and took 2 of 3 in State College last weekend vs Penn St. This weekend they travel to Maryland to face The Terps twice as well as a game Northwestern squad. Michigan plays a single game vs The Wildcats Saturday and Sunday then does the same vs the host team Sunday (2nd game of double header) and Monday. Both of these teams can hit but have struggled on the mound. 4 more opportunities for the boys in the race for the Big Ten title.

Opening Day is here! And the Mets made big news , signing pending free agent SS Francisco Lindor to a 10 year/341 million dollar contract extension. The team, under the new ownership of Steve Cohen, has been both aggressive and smart in the off season. With several new pitchers and position players, New York is positioned to make 2021 a memorable season.

The Wolverine baseball team did something incredible Saturday, rallying from a 7-0 9th inning deficit to defeat rival Michigan State. The amazing comeback was the highlight of a tough .500 weekend vs the Spartans and Illinois. The team continues to pitch well but offensive consistency was a problem over the 4 games. With all the changes to the roster as well as Covid 19 implications, the squad will continue to evolve and improve. Coach Bakich's teams always play their best ball late in the season. 2021 will be no different.
