The suddenly hot Patriots travel to Houston Sunday to face a talented but slumping Houston Texans team.  New England has found a recipe for success in feeding the ball to Damian Harris and Red Burkhead while Cam Newton makes enough plays to support a hot and cold defense. The Texans still have Deshaun Watson and JJ Watt plus several other talented players. This should be a very interesting game.

The Wolverines hit the ice and came as advertised, scoring, skating and defending as they swept the ASU Sun Devils over the weekend 11-1. The opener saw UM score 8 to win 8-1 while in game 2, the defense and goalie Strauss Mann shut the door and only a heroic effort by the ASU net minder kept the game close.  UM is now #6 in the country and travels to face an improved Wisconsin Badgers team Thursday and Friday.

The Patriots  rode a winning recipe: dominant line of scrimmage play and error free football to a 23-17 victory over the Ravens on Sunday Night Football. Damian Harris, Rex Burkhead and Jakobi Meyers led the skill group while Kyle Dugger, Chase Winovich and Devin McCourty starred on defense.  Cam Newton and his offensive line handled awful weather and Coach Belichick put together a masterful game plan that undressed New England nemesis  John Harbaugh. With this win, the 4-5 Pats are now in the playoff race and trending up.

The Buccaneers showed up big time Sunday and pummeled the Panthers 46-23. Ronald Jones had a 98 yard TD run as part of his 192 yard day. 8 receivers caught passes with Mike Evans, Rob Gronkowski and Cameron Brate scoring touchdowns.  The defense- led by Levonte David and Devin White - stopped the run and contained a solid Carolina offense. With the win, Tampa improves to 7-3.

The Pats come off last weeks last second win to visit rival Baltimore this Sunday night on National TV. Led by John Harbaugh and QB Lamar Jackson , the Ravens are among the most talented teams in the league. They beat on you , run the ball and play defense.  They have BIG players who make big plays. This game should be a good indicator where the team is headed as the 2020 winds down.

The Bucs got pounded into the ground last week and we have some good news: They are 6-3 and the world did not end. Games go on and Tampa travels to face a competitive  and well coached Carolina Panthers team . Matt Rhule and Teddy Bridgewater have this team playing well and Tampa needs to raise their game Sunday.

March 12. That was the day NCAA Hockey shutdown. Michigan was among the hottest teams in the country. Mel Pearson and his staff reloaded with an incredible freshman class featuring 3 potential high picks as well as 3 2019-2020 1st round selections.  This team will score goals but the foundation remains keeping goals against down and supporting All Big Ten selection Strauss Mann in net. #GoBlue

Cam Newton and the Patriots are not dead yet and the Jets found that out Monday Night as New England rallied from a  10 point deficit to win 30-27.  Jakobi Meyers had 12 catches for 159 while Nick Folk, battling a balky back, hit 3 field goals including a 51 yarder as time expired. Joe Flacco played well for the Jets but his late INT into double coverage set the stage for the late heroics from Newton and Folk. With the win, The Patriots improve to 3-5.

The Buccaneers picked the wrong time and team to play their worst game of the season Sunday and the Saints gladly took advantage in a 38-3 demolition. Tampa was dominated from start to finish and New Orleans played great from whistle one. The  6-3 Bucs season is now at a crossroads and they have a chance to right the ship in Carolina Sunday. #LFG
