The Patriots begin a week long trip to California with an important game vs the Chargers Sunday in Los Angeles.  The Bolts feature stud rookie QB Justin Herbert, all world defensive end Joey Bosa and talent all over. The Pats playoff probabilities would trend up with a win today.  New England will have to play their best game to beat.

The Wolverine Hockey team had a rough weekend, losing two hard fought defensive contests to a tough Notre Dame squad in South Bend. Good news: The season is not cancelled. We have good players and coaches who work hard and will turn this thing around. The Big Ten is a strong conference and has good teams that play a variety of styles. Michigan is good and Penn State is about to find that out.

The Chiefs rode an early lead and a valiant comeback from the Bucs came up short as the World Champs won 27-24. Kansas City won the Super Bowl for a reason and The home team fought hard. As the season hits the final quarter, the young and talented Bucs most learn the lessons of defeat and turn them into wins.

I wise man once said "It is better to win ugly than lose pretty." The Patriots proved this Sunday. The defense and special teams (2 huge return plays) carried an offense that had under 200 total yards to a 20-17 last second win. New England kicker Nick Folk hit a 50 yard field goal as time expired to secure the win. Cam Newton and the entire passing game struggled but his scramble for a key first 1st down while drawing a 15 yard personal foul was a huge part of the victory.

The Bucs welcome the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs Sunday to Raymond James. The exciting and explosive Chiefs are led by superstar QB Patrick Mahomes, WR Tyreek Hill and TE Travis Kelce. Head Coach Andy Reid is one of the best offensive minds in the sport and the defense is greatly improved under 2nd year coordinator Steve Spagnuolo ;The Bucs will have to play their best game of the season to beat the World Champs.

Kyler Murray and the exciting Arizona Cardinals visit Foxboro this Sunday.  Led by ex Patriots back up QB Kliff Kingsbury, the Cards offense is explosive and features starts like  RB Kenyan Drake, WRs DeAndre Hopkins and Christian Kirk. The defense is paced by defensive backs Budda Baker , Patrick Peterson and rookie Isaiah Simmons. This will be a tough matchup for New England even minus future Hall of Fame WR Larry Fitzgerald, who will miss the game due to a positive Covid 19 test.

Michigan Hockey remains one of the hottest teams in the nation after a hard fought sweep in Madison vs a talented Wisconsin Badger squad. This week The Wolverines host the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in Ann Arbor.  Jeff Jackson's club is defense heavy and Colin Theisen (All 3 ND goals!!! ) is a player Michigan must check and contain. Should be a fun weekend of hockey.

The Bucs are back on prime time tv this week as they welcome the Los Angeles Rams to Tampa. Sean McVay's team features a fleet of running backs, wide outs and tight ends who are set up to succeed in his system. QB Jared Goff is playing smart, efficient football.  The LA defense  is led by the premier defender in the sport, defensive lineman Aaron Donald , and stud corner Jalen Ramsey.  Tampa will have to play strong in all 3 phases to get the W.

The Texans have a much better passing game than the Patriots plus JJ Watt.  These two facts are a huge reason why Houston defeated the Patriots 27-20 in Texas. Cam Newton ,Jakobi Meyers and Damiere Byrd fought hard but they are bringing a knife to a gun fight every week.  Deshaun Watson brings a Bazooka and rocket launchers. #EndOfStory
