Andrew reminded me how important it is to be myself and make no qualms. When I was younger my mind would be paralyzed with self doubt and criticism, I lied about myself often. In massachusetts as a child, Jesse had struggles much like our own, that inspired him to run away, migrate to the pacific northwest, join the military, and finding a passion for martial arts, even further- a passion for the feeling of fear. For the years that I've known Hope, we've predominately been juxtaposed in our ambitions. I've predominately considered her dominate, outspoken, competitive, assertive, with an undertone of nurturing qualities. This is juxtaposed to my disposition of submissive, passive, overtly nurturing, empathetic, and lacking a competitive desire. This is what I found interesting and relative in the exploration of equality in America.
