This episode is the first of a new series I’m doing on the Becoming Vibrant podcast. We’re having guests on, not as experts in their field who give us tips and information, but as fellow mompreneurs with a story to tell.
Here’s why: as a mompreneur myself, I’ve experienced a hell of a journey to get to where I am. The thing is, I used to think it was just me, and that really struggling meant I wasn’t cut out for this.
This changed for me when I joined the business coaching group that I’m in that is around 1700 women entrepreneurs. In that group, women were posting their stories and their struggles openly and vulnerably and I started to feel so much less alone as I read through them. I realized that the journey can sometimes be really hard, but we can still build something amazing.
Today, we’re hearing Alison’s story. And I’ll tell you upfront that she had me crying more than once. My younger sister was born with special needs and this episode hit me right in the heart. Alison is the mama to a little boy named Carter who has special needs. She is also the creator of a program that helps students connect with others who might be different than themselves. She also helps empower nonprofits to make the world a better place. She’s an amazing badass mompreneur making a difference and I’m honoured to share her story with you.
