Welcome to episode 64 of Bede Vs. The Living Dead.
After the box office success of the 2004 remake of Dawn Of The Dead, it wasn't a shock to hear that George A. Romero's third entry in his Dead series Day Of The Dead would also recieve the remake treatment from Hollywood as well. Horror fans didn't have to wait that long, as it was released a few years later. For this episode of the podcast, Bede takes a look at the 2008 remake of Day Of The Dead from director Steve Miner (House, Lake Placid) and writer Jeffrey Riddick (Final Destination, Tamara).
Joining Bede to discuss this remake of Day Of The Dead are returning guests Marcus Wilturner (writer/contributor for The Super Network) and John Seavey (Half Price Horror). Highlights include wondering if DOTD '08 is the most 'mid' zombie film ever made?, was Ving Rhames cast in this film due to starring in Dawn Of The Dead '04?, what this remake does differently from the original 1985 film, the moments that made us unintentionally laugh, was Mena Suvari miscast as a soldier? and so much more.
