After the release of the 2009 reboot of Friday The 13th, there were plans to make a sequel to it. Unfortunately, it didn't come to fruition. Paramount/Warner Bros. along with Platinum Dunes decided to reboot the franchise again with a new film. Two scripts were written: one from Nick Antosca (co-writer of Antlers and creator of TV show Channel Zero) and the other from Aaron Guzikowski (writer of Prisoners and creator of TV show Raised By Wolves). Once again due to many factors, neither script was made into a film.

Your hosts Bede & Steve decided to check out both scripts and wonder what could have been. Joining your hosts to discuss them, is returning guest and filmmaker Douglas A. When it comes to most of the NOTLD comic books that yur Bede Jermyn has discussed on this podcast, most of them have been released by one company: Avatar Press. Since he covered their last NOTLD comic series that was released from them on episode 45 with Night Of The Living Dead: Aftermath, Bede is going back to beginning to one of the first ones that they produced. For this episode, Bede delves into the three issue 2006 prequel comic mini-series Night of The Living Dead: The Beginning, which was written by NOTLD co-creator John Russo and illustrated by Sebastian Fiumara.

Welcome to episode 55 of Bede Vs. The Living Dead.

After tackling this specific topic on-and-off on the podcast since episode 39 last year, you host Bede Jermyn has finally reached the end of his deep dive into exploring random horror films that were retitled in some parts of the world as "sequels" in the Zombi franchise.
