Welcome to episode 3 of Bede & Trev Vs. The Big Apple. A podcast series on The BVTLD Network, where your hosts Bede Jermyn & Trev Snyder explore a variety of films that were made or set in New York City in the '70s, '80s and early/mid '90s.
After tackeling two action films as part of their "Action" section of the podcast on their first two episodes, your hosts Bede & Trev are doing a complete 180 by going a little more serious for March/April. Why is that? Well, for the next two episodes, they'll be looking films from the "Drama" section. For the first their "Drama" picks, they take a look at a film that Trev has chosen: the 1971 drug-themed romance The Panic In Needle Park starring Al Pacino & Kitty Winn and directed by Jerry Schatzberg (Honeysuckle Rose, Street Smart).
Joining Bede & Trev to discuss this powerful drama is first-time guest critic/podcaster Lindsay WiIkins (Schlock & Awe). Highlights include Lindsay discussing the time she went to New York, the reasons why Trev chose this film as his drama pick, how Al Pacino memorizes in his first leading performance, praising the underrated Kitty Winn, how this film takes a unflinching look at drug addiction in the '70s, the film's most shocking scene involving a dog and so much more.

Welcome to this bonus episode of Bede Vs. The Living Dead. Unlike the main episodes of the show that only focus on all things related and linked to Night Of The Living Dead, these bonus ones will have your host Bede Jermyn explore other random zombie films (from both the famous to the obscure) that were made in the aftermath of George A. Romero's 1968 classic masterpiece.
While your host Bede has covered many different types of zombies films from all over the world throughout the podcast so far from the U.S., U.K., Italy, Spain, Mexico etc. There's one country in particular that he surprising hasn't tackled yet, and that's his home country of Australia. For this bonus episode, Bede has decided to change all that by taking a look at a recent Australian zombie film that has been getting a lot of praise from critics: the 2024 film We Bury The Dead from writer/director Zak Hilditch (1922, These Final Hours).
Joining Bede to discuss this film are returning guest Warren Money (co-host of s#1tcast) and first-time guest Kollin Kersten (Bede's co-host on the podcast The Tubi Tuesdays Podcast). What did Bede and his guests think of the latest zombie film to come out of Australia? Give it a listen and find out!

Welcome to episode 75 of Bede Vs. The Living Dead.
After diving into the topic on an episode of the podcast last year, your host Bede Jermyn is back with another batch of songs from bands and singers that have been inspired by the 1968 film Night Of The Living Dead. For this one, Bede takes a look into the NOTLD themed tracks from music acts such as Agoraphobia, Invaders, The Newlydeads, Garland Jeffreys, The Odorants, He Walks Behind The Rows, Left For Dead and Jeb Smith.
Joining Bede to discuss all these NOTLD songs are returning guests A Dingo Ate My Movie host Pete Iacono (who was in part 1 of the "Songs Inspired By Night Of The Living Dead" episode) and Derek Smith. Highlights include how Agoraphobia's NOTLD song is one of the best of this batch, the mixed feelings of Invader's NOTLD song, was the music for Garland Jeffrey's track sound similar to the score for Zombie?, Derek providing some interesting facts about the artists, which song was the most hilarious? and so much more.

Welcome to this special bonus episode of Bede Vs. The Living Dead.
Your host Bede Jermyn is back with a special interview bonus edition of the podcast and it's another every single one of you listeners will be excited about. Recently, Bede had the privilege to have an interview Daniel Kraus, the best-selling authour of the novels Whalefall, Angel Down and also co-wrote The Living Dead with George A. Romero, to discuss his latest book that's on Night Of The Living Dead called Partially Devoured: How Night of the Living Dead Saved My Life and Changed the World , which is being released in all bookstores on March 10th.
It was honour for Bede to talk about to Daniel about every aspect of both his book and relationship with the 1968 film, so this interview is going a massive treat for you all. Plus, you'll also get to hear how this very podcast helped in a small way in his research into the book. How so? You'll have to listen and find out. Enjoy!
NOTE: Bede also released a video version of the interview, which you can only watch exclusively on the BVTLD Patreon here for just as little as $1: https://www.patreon.com/posts/patreon-only-vs-151676122

Welcome to episode 74 of Bede Vs. The Living Dead.
While your host Bede Jermyn has covered a lot of differents forms of media when it comes to Night Of The Living Dead over the past year or two, there's one area that hasn't covered for a while on the podcast, which just happens to be the theatrical stage production side. The last time Bede dived into this subject, was back on episode 12 when he looked at the 2020 experimental stage play Night Of The Living Dead: Remix. For this episode, Bede goes back to that well to look at the 2019 London stage production of another NOTLD play Night Of The Living Dead: Live!.
Joining Bede to discuss this play is someone who knows a thing or two about the theatre world, and that is Bede's co-host on the BVTLD network show Bede & Steve Vs. Camp Crystal Lake and co-owner of The Knack Theatre: Steven T. Boltz. Highlights include Bede & Steve wondering if taking a campy comedic approach was the right call, the bizarre choice of having some audience member sit on the stage, praising the show's production design, how this play is linked to Evil Dead: The Musical!, the utterly insane second act turn and so much more.

Welcome to episode 2 of Bede & Trev Vs. The Big Apple. A podcast series on The BVTLD Network, where your hosts Bede Jermyn & Trev Snyder explore a variety of films that were made or set in New York City in the '70s, '80s and early/mid '90s.
After tackling the 1980 action/thriller film Night Of The Juggler on their first official episode last month, your hosts Bede & Trev head into their second and final New York film of their "Action" series for January & February. This month is Bede's pick and he decided to go with an action exploitation film that's considered a cult classic. For this episode, your hosts take a look at the Italian produced 1982 dystopian action film 1990: The Bronx Warriors starring Mark Gregory, Vic Morrow, Fred Williamson, Christopher Connelly & George Eastman and directed by Enzo G. Castellari (The Last Shark, The Inglorious Batards).
Joining Bede & Trev to discuss this famous piece of Italian exploitation are their first ever guests on the podcast: John Seavey (host of Half Price Horror) and Chris Iannacone (co-host of Get Me Another). Highlights include Bede & Trev sharing the same origin on how they both saw the sequel Escape from The Bronx before this film, how Mark Gregory's performance makes the film, the amazing bizarre choices that Enzo G. Castellari brings to the film, how the film eerily foreshadows Vic Morrow's death on Twilight Zone: The Movie, which films does this one rip-off?, the characters that stood out and so much more.

Last year on the podcast in celebration of the return of the 28 Days Later franchise, your host Bede Jermyn went back to the beginning to take a look at the first two films 28 Days Later (2002) and 28 Weeks Later (2007) on one episode, which then was followed-up with another episode that was on the newest entry in the series 28 Years Later (2025). The latter was the start of a trilogy of films and was shot back-to-back with the fourth entry, which was recently released in the form of the 2026 film 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. This sequel was written once again by Alex Garland (Annihilation) and directed by Nia DaCosta (Candyman '21) with Danny Boyle (127 Hours) acting as producer on this one.
Joining Bede to discuss this latest instalment in the series, are three returning guests who were also on those previous two 28 Days Later franchise bonus episodes: Barton Roberts, Jason Shawhan (co-host of Fearless Pretender: The Jennifer Jason Leigh Podcast) and Carmelita Valdez McKoy. Did Bede and his guests like The Bone Temple as much as the previous film? Listen and find out!

Welcome to this special bonus episode of Bede Vs. The Living Dead.
Your host Bede Jermyn is back with a special interview bonus edition of the podcast. To say that this is an exciting one, would be a very big understatment. For this one, Bede sat down and chatted to Tina Romero, who should know a thing or two about zombies because her father was the legendary Night Of The Living Dead director himself George A. Romero.
However in her own right, Tina is also a fillmmaker and recent took a stab at the zombie sub-genre herself by making her feature length directorial debut with the ciritically acclaimed 2025 LBGTQ+ themed horror/comedy Queens Of The Dead.
This interview had been in the works for a little while now, so thanks Tina for taking the time to come on the show to talk about both how her film Queens Of The Dead came to be and her father's legacy on the horror genre. There were a lot of great discussions during this interview, so defintiely give it a listen!
NOTE: Bede also released a video version of the interview, which you can only watch exclusively on the BVTLD Patreon here for just as little as $1: https://www.patreon.com/posts/patreon-only-vs-150229692
