Welcome to this bonus episode of Bede Vs. The Living Dead. Unlike the main episodes of the show that only focus on all things related and linked to Night Of The Living Dead, these bonus ones will have your host Bede Jermyn explore other random zombie films (from both the famous to the obscure) that were made in the aftermath of George A. Romero's 1968 classic masterpiece.

While there have been many zombie films made since the sub-genre was revived in the early 2000s, it's safe to say that realistically that only a few of them have been considered by horror fans as modern classics. One film in particular that fits the bill, is one that came out of nowhere from South Korea in 2016 and instantly herald as one of best horror films of the 21st century: Train to Busan, which was the first live-action directorional debut from animation director Yeon Sang-ho.

Knowing that the film is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, Bede thought it was the perfect time to tackle the film. Joining him to discuss this fan-favourite South Korean horror film are returning guests Super Marcey (Bede's co-host on the many podcasts on ⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠The Super Network⁠) and Roger Conners (co-host of ⁠Dark Night Of The Podcast⁠ and the writer/director/star of the 2021 Night Of The Living Dead remake Rebirth and the upcoming slasher film Meat). So, what did Bede and his guests think of Train To Busan? Do they agree with the criticial and fan reception that its a zombie classic? Listen to find out!

After the box-office success and postitive fan reception of their 2003 remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Michael Bay and his producing partners at Platinum Dunes started to get the ball rolling and make a follow-up to it. However, instead of taking the sequel route, they decided to go make a prequel that would explain how Leatherface and his family became the way they are. The resulting film was released in 2006 as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, which was directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Darkness Falls, Battle Los Angelis) and written by Sheldon Turner (The Longest Yard '05, Up In The Air) from a story co-wrote by David J. Schow (Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3, The Crow '94)

Joining the hosts Bede & Steve to discuss this prequel is first-time guest writer/author John Harrison (Sin Street Sleaze, Creatures Of the Screen - The Uncensored (And Unofficial) History of Kissploitation On Film, Television & Home Video). Welcome to episode 5 of Bede & Trev Vs. The Big Apple. A podcast series on The BVTLD Network, where your hosts Bede Jermyn & Trev Snyder explore a variety of films that were made or set in New York City in the '70s, '80s and early/mid '90s.

Welcome to the lankmark episode 80 of Bede Vs. The Living Dead.

Here we are, everyone. The milestone 80th episode of the show. I's had to believe that there has been that many main episodes of this little podcast so far, but it just shows that there is so many different Night Of The Living Dead related projects out there. You can be damn sure that host Bede Jermyn is going to make sure to cover all them. Interstinly enough for this episode, Bede is taking another look at a version of NOTLD that he previously covered all the way back earlier on episode 2: the 1990 remake of Night Of The Living Dead from director Tom Savini. However, he will be looking at the new 'Uncensored Cut' of it, which was supervised by Savini himself for the remake's 35th anniversary 4k Blu-ray release.

Since the very beginning of the podcast, your host Bede Jermyn has covered quite a lot of comic books that were centred around Night Of The Living Dead. However, there's no question that the most prominent comic book company that published most of them is defintiely without a doubt Avatar Press. While they released comics under the NOTLD, they along with the original 1968 film's co-writer John Russo, created a seperate stand alone spin-off series that's also set that same universe.
