Tonight we take down two chapters discussing lessons of God’s making a way for David and David’s generosity for the common welfare of Israel.

The boys see Saul go completely off the rails as he consults mediums to access the word of the late Samuel. I’m doing so, he receives an eerie fate. Join us to hear about it as we near the conclusion of 1 Samuel.

What an inspired chapter. Saul is pursuing David again - his temptation has come to enslave him again. The same manner in which the Egyptians came back due the Hebrews and the demons came back for the once possessed man in the gospels. David finds a passionate follower in Abishia in whom we find and discuss shades of Peter. Ultimately, we find Saul in despair confessing his sin once again and hoping he will turn to the Lord in repentance.

Last episode Tre and Brock cornered Dad with questions about David’s taking Abigail as a wife. After some prayer an research we derive an answer that is still abstract but points us towards original design and flexibility on specific matters of the law because these are not the basis of our faith.
