In this first of a two-part conversation on the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I chatted with Dmitry Koltunov, (Founder & CEO of Arbor) to explore entrepreneurship, storytelling, AI and creativity from the inside out. It became a reflection on belief, visibility and what it means to keep building before the world fully catches up to the idea.
There were so many directions we could have taken this pod, and I loved the way Dmitry spoke about and described story as “the source code of humanity.” In a world increasingly shaped by AI, speed and automation, it felt like a good reminder that people still connect through emotion, meaning and shared experience more than anything else.
We spoke about the reality of building something before there is external proof that it will work. Dmitry shared a quite about music artists learning to become comfortable being unseen before they are seen, something I resonated with as I build my business. Founders, creators and entrepreneurs all move through seasons where the work exists long before recognition does.
We discussed the role great investors can play during unstable moments in entrepreneurship. Not simply providing capital, though helping founders hold belief in themselves during periods where confidence inevitably fluctuates. That felt incredibly honest and true.
A beautiful moment was hearing Dmitry speak about his 12-year-old daughter already experimenting with startup ideas and AI tools in real time. It felt symbolic of how quickly creativity, technology and entrepreneurship are merging for the next generation.
The Shape Shift in motion
At the heart of this conversation was a shift from external validation and rigid structure, to trust, creativity and building from inner conviction.
This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology:
LEARN (Letting go)
✨ Recognition often arrives long after the work begins
✨ Story creates human connection in ways technology cannot replace
✨ Founders move through unstable moments more often than people realise
UNLEARN (Reimagine, create & reshape)
✨ Unlearn the need for immediate visibility or validation
✨ Reimagine AI as a creative amplifier rather than a replacement
✨ Reshape communication through resonance, emotion and meaning
RELEARN (Test & implement)
✨ Build around your natural rhythm and energy
✨ Continue sharing ideas before they feel fully formed
✨ Support people through uncertainty, not only success
ACTIVE RECOVERY (Reflect & reset)
✨ What are you waiting to feel validated before starting?
✨ What idea deserves more trust from you right now?
✨ What would shift if visibility stopped being the goal?

In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven VC Podcast, I sat down with Nelli Orlova to explore life, leadership, business, investing and startup culture from the inside out. Nelli shared, “If you’ve never failed, you’ve never tried anything new.” and what became clear is that failure is not an exception in entrepreneurship, it is woven into the process of trying, building and evolving.
We spoke about the pressure founders carry externally to constantly appear successful while privately navigating uncertainty, exhaustion and self-doubt.
Then there's the current AI wave, the rise of overnight “experts,” and how easy it has become to manufacture hype, polished narratives and artificial traction online. At the same time, many of the best founders are still quietly spending years solving real problems and building trust slowly.
It was great to explore the current state of women in venture, leadership and tech through a much more honest lens than these conversations often allow. What unfolded was not a surface-level discussion around diversity or visibility, though a nuanced reflection on identity, confidence, belonging and the pressure many women still feel to prove themselves in rooms that were not originally designed with them in mind.
I loved the openness and ability to speak about uncertainty, mistakes, failure and self-doubt without immediately feeling like credibility disappears.
The Shape Shift in motion
At the heart of this conversation was a shift from performance and perfectionism, to honesty. It does not weaken leadership or credibility, it deepens connection and creates space for more authenticity and what building something meaningful actually looks like.
This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology:
LEARN (Letting go)
✨ Failure is part of building something meaningful
✨ Most founders are struggling more than they publicly show
✨ Visibility and community matter before the product is finished
UNLEARN (Reimagine, create & reshape)
✨ Unlearn the idea that founders must appear perfect
✨ Reimagine authenticity as strength, not weakness
✨ Reshape failure into feedback and experience
RELEARN (Test & implement)
✨ Build your audience while building your product
✨ Share lessons and struggles publicly
✨ Focus on solving real customer problems, not creating hype
ACTIVE RECOVERY (Reflect & reset)
✨ What are you pretending is “fine” right now?
✨ Where are you hiding instead of building publicly?
✨ What would shift if you stopped fearing failure?

In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I sat down with François Gouelo to explore life, leadership and business from the inside out. We had an epic reflection on systems thinking, first principles and what happens when grit meets deep curiosity.
François is the Co-Founder & CEO of Enso Connect, an AI-powered hospitality platform helping vacation rental operators create better guest experiences. Yet the story behind the company began with a frozen key, a missing checkout process and a $5,000 problem during a ski trip that exposed how fragmented hospitality systems really were.
What stood out immediately was François’ philosophy that every problem has a solution, not through blind optimism, though, through the discipline of breaking complexity into smaller solvable pieces.
We spoke about the reality of building a company, why rejection often forces better thinking, and how Enso Connect spent years navigating roadblocks before eventually becoming an official Airbnb partner. Rather than treating obstacles as dead ends, François kept reframing them as engineering and communication problems waiting to be solved.
There was also a deeper layer running through our chat, around first principles thinking: what are we actually trying to achieve? François shared how many founders become distracted solving secondary problems while missing the real issue directly in front of them. He made a powerful distinction between systems of record, which simply hold data, and systems of action, which actually do work on behalf of people.
That shift feels increasingly important as businesses move from storing information to orchestrating experiences. François openly shared that sometimes building something meaningful requires periods of intensity, obsession and deep focus before recalibration can happen.
The Shape Shift in motion
Not chasing perfect balance, instead how to move with different seasons of life and business.
This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology:
LEARN (Letting go)
✨ Most problems become solvable when broken into smaller pieces
✨ Complexity often distracts from the real issue
✨ AI works best when it amplifies human experience, not replaces it
UNLEARN (Reimagine, create & reshape)
✨ Unlearn the idea that balance always looks equal
✨ Reimagine technology as a system of action, not just storage
✨ Reshape obstacles into feedback loops for better thinking
RELEARN (Test & implement)
✨ Return to first principles when feeling overwhelmed
✨ Focus on the core problem before solving secondary ones
✨ Build systems that create more human connection, not less

In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I chatted with Nechumah Getz to explore life, leadership and business from the inside out, and this conversation became a beautiful reflection on reinvention, identity and the human need for connection.
After more than 25 years in leadership roles, including serving as a COO, Nechumah experienced two layoffs in two years. At the same time, she was navigating the deeper transitions of midlife: children leaving home, changing friendships, hormonal shifts, changing priorities and the realisation that the built-in community many women once relied on no longer naturally exists at this stage of life.
What emerged from that experience was Better Outside Together, an outdoor community designed to help women reconnect through movement, nature and real conversation.
Nechumah described this phase of life as the “midlife crescendo.” I related, given I am 48 and turning 49 years old this year, it is not a time of decline and certainly not the ending. Instead a crescendo, a moment to pause, where everything rises to the surface at once and asks us to pay attention.
We spoke about how many women quietly reach this chapter and realise they no longer know where they fit.
I loved how Nechuma brought it back to nature, less as fitness or productivity, instead as regulation, release and reconnection.
We also explored the biological need for community, as something humans are fundamentally wired for. In a world becoming increasingly digital, isolated and AI-driven, this conversation felt like an important reminder that healing often happens in the simplest moments: outside, walking, talking, breathing and being witnessed by other people.
The Shape Shift in motion
At the heart of this conversation was a shift from isolation and identity loss, to connection, movement and rediscovering self.
This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology:
LEARN (Letting go)
✨ Community no longer arrives automatically in midlife
✨ Loneliness impacts the body, mind and nervous system
✨ The version of you that once fit may no longer align
UNLEARN (Reimagine, create & reshape)
✨ Unlearn the idea that midlife means decline
✨ Reimagine movement as healing and connection
✨ Reshape community through honesty and shared experience
RELEARN (Test & implement)
✨ Join something, even when it feels uncomfortable
✨ Walking and conversation can become active recovery
✨ Nature creates space to reconnect with yourself
ACTIVE RECOVERY (Reflect & reset)
✨ What part of yourself is asking to be rediscovered?
✨ Where are you craving deeper connection?
✨ What if this chapter is not an ending, though a return to yourself?

In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven VC Podcast, I sat down with Scott Kelly to explore life, leadership, business, investing and entrepreneurship from the inside out, and this conversation became a fascinating reflection on what it actually takes to survive and evolve across decades of change.
What stood out immediately was Scott’s honesty around risk, resilience and adaptation. He has seen industries rise, collapse, reinvent themselves and come back stronger.
We spoke about AI, not just through the lens of software startups, through the return of traditional industries like construction, real estate and infrastructure. Industries that historically moved slowly are now being reshaped through automation, estimation tools, predictive systems and generational change. What became clear is that the next wave of innovation may not come from entirely new industries, instead from older industries finally evolving.
Scott shared how smaller and newer funds are beginning to reshape the ecosystem, often working more closely with founders, helping them build ecosystems, relationships and go-to-market momentum, rather than simply writing cheques.
The was also the founder reality, the grind, the pivots and the failures. Scott spoke openly about surviving the dot-com crash, trying to retire twice unsuccessfully, and why the founders who succeed are often the ones willing to keep adapting. His advice was simple and deeply human: do it until you are no longer passionate, then pivot and find the passion again. As he joked, “I love pizza, but I don’t eat it every day.”
The Shape Shift in motion
At the heart of this conversation was a shift from rigid thinking and transactional growth, to adaptability, ecosystems and long-term evolution.
This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology:
LEARN (Letting go)
✨ Raising capital alone does not build a successful company
✨ Markets, technology and timing constantly shift
✨ Founders cannot do everything on their own
UNLEARN (Reimagine, create & reshape)
✨ Unlearn the idea that innovation only comes from new industries
✨ Reimagine venture capital as ecosystem building, not just funding
✨ Reshape failure as part of long-term growth and adaptation
RELEARN (Test & implement)
✨ Build relationships before you need them
✨ Stay willing to pivot as markets evolve
✨ Find people who complement the skills you do not have
ACTIVE RECOVERY (Reflect & reset)
✨ Where are you resisting change instead of adapting with it?

In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven VC Podcast, I welcomed back Ariyeh Ginsberg for Part 2 of our conversation, following a moment in Part 1 where he had to abruptly leave to take shelter as rockets were being heard near Tel Aviv.
We continued to chat about what it really means to accept that we are not in control, not as a weakness, instead as a release. So much of the pressure we carry comes from trying to predict, protect and manage outcomes that are never guaranteed and yet, when you let go of that, you create space to actually think, respond and move with more clarity.
What stood out was how simply Ariyeh sees the world. From observing whether a business is truly creating value, to recognising that often the most powerful insights are right in front of us. Not everything needs to be overcomplicated, sometimes it is as clear as asking: does this make sense, does it serve people, is it real?
We also went deeper into safety and how people behave differently when they feel safe, whether that is in a country, a team or a business. When safety is present, people contribute, create and move forward. When it is not, they protect, withdraw and hold back and leadership plays a direct role in shaping that environment.
There was also a powerful reflection on treating your business like family, in a way that brings honesty, responsibility and care into how decisions are made. Founders who overstate, overpromise or avoid truth create fragility, those who lead with clarity and transparency create antifragility, resulting in strength.
It all came back to something simple; you are not flying the plane, so how do you want to experience the journey?
The Shape Shift in motion
At the heart of this conversation was a shift from control and complexity, to simplicity, safety and intentional experience.
This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology:
LEARN (Letting go)
✨ We do not control outcomes, only how we respond
✨ Fear often comes from what we imagine, not what is real
✨ People behave differently depending on how safe they feel
UNLEARN (Reimagine, create & reshape)
✨ Unlearn the need to control every outcome
✨ Reimagine leadership as creating safety, not pressure
✨ Reshape complexity by returning to what is simple and true
RELEARN (Test & implement)

✨ Treat your business with the same honesty as family
✨ Move when aligned, pause when you are not

In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven VC Podcast, I started to chat with Ariyeh Ginsberg to explore life, leadership, business and investing from the inside out.
Ariyeh joined me from Israel, near Tel Aviv, while rockets were actively being heard in the distance. What stayed with me immediately was his reflection on presence. Even in the middle of war, people were still going to parks, still moving, still choosing life in the only moment they could actually control. And then, part way through our conversation, Ariyeh had to leave for a bomb shelter. That moment brought the whole episode into the very moment. We can talk about presence, becoming antifragile and control, and yet sometimes life asks us to live it in real time.
For me, this was about what it truly means to stay present when the world is uncertain, and how leadership begins with the way we relate to ourselves. Ariyeh spoke about meditation not as something complicated or performative, instead as a way to give yourself a break in time and space. A walk, breath, thought, anything that brings you calm. This very moment is where you stop projecting fear into the future and come back to what is here.
We also spoke about rejection, self-awareness, safe communication and the importance of not forcing yourself into someone else’s version of success. His analogy of the mouse and the ant - a mouse is best as a mouse, an ant is best as an ant. So much energy is wasted trying to become what we are not, instead of being true to ones soul.
The Shape Shift in motion
At the heart of this conversation was a shift from fear, control and future-casting, to presence, self-awareness and the courage to meet life as it is.
This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology:
LEARN (Letting go)
✨ We cannot control what happens next, only how present we are in this moment.
✨ Trying to become someone else wastes the energy we need to become ourselves.
✨ Stress narrows the mind, while presence creates space for new ideas to come through.
UNLEARN (Reimagine, create & reshape)
✨ Unlearn the idea that meditation has to look a certain way to be powerful.
✨ Reimagine rejection as redirection, not proof that you are not enough.
✨ Reshape leadership through safer communication, where truth can be spoken without shame.
RELEARN (Test & implement)
✨ Build small practices that bring you back into your body and the present moment.
✨ Reflect on what you achieved this week, not only what is still missing.
✨ Create relationships and teams where people can be honest about what helps them perform at their best.
ACTIVE RECOVERY (Reflect & reset)
✨ Where are you living too far in the future instead of returning to what is here now?
✨ What rejection might actually be protecting you from something misaligned?
✨ What would shift if presence became your first leadership practice?

In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I chatted with Grégoire de Hemptinne to explore life, leadership and business from the inside out, and this conversation brought a powerful reminder that real impact is built slowly, not instantly.
Grégoire is the Co-founder & CEO of Shayp, an AI-powered water efficiency company helping large buildings detect leaks, reduce waste and rethink how we use one of the most critical resources on the planet. What stood out for me wasn’t just the technology, it was the mindset behind it.
We spoke about what it actually takes to build an impact-led business in a world where water has historically been undervalued - I will never think about water the same way... From saving their first billion litres to now tracking over 30 billion litres saved, and working towards 100 billion by 2030, this is a story of patience, perseverance and long-term strategic thinking.
What became clear is that building something meaningful is rarely linear. It is shaped through constant iteration, market resistance, unexpected pivots and moments of doubt. Grégoire shared how the journey has been less about building a perfect product, and more about building an interconnected ecosystem where customers, partners and communities all play a key role.
We also explored the intersection of AI, infrastructure and climate, and how Shayp is now working with data centres, cities and public institutions to not only reduce water waste, and reconnect large organisations with the communities and resources they depend on for a thriving future.
The Shape Shift in motion
At the heart of this conversation was a shift from short-term thinking to long-term impact, and from building products to building ecosystems.
This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology:
LEARN (Letting go)
✨ Impact does not happen overnight, it compounds over time
✨ Building a great product alone is not enough
✨ Markets do not always move as fast as your ambition
UNLEARN (Reimagine, create & reshape)
✨ Unlearn the idea that scale is instant, it is earned
✨ Reimagine business as an interconnected ecosystem
✨ Reshape how you approach growth through iteration and feedback
RELEARN (Test & implement)
✨ Stay open, curious and willing to pivot
✨ Build relationships, not just products
✨ Take one step forward each day rather than chasing the end goal

In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I chatted with Menaka Gopinath to explore life, leadership and business from the inside out, and this conversation reframed what leadership looks like when systems, technology and humanity are all shifting at once.
What stood out immediately was Menaka’s grounding in community and systems thinking. There is a consistent thread: progress has always been built through people coming together to solve complex problems.
We spoke about AI not as a threat, but as a mirror. It is not removing the need for humans, it is raising the bar on thinking. The real shift is from execution to orchestration, from having answers to asking better questions, and from control to coordination.
Menaka shared a deeply personal story about her son, and the moment a diagnosis was reframed through possibility rather than limitation. That shift, from asking what cannot happen to wondering what might be possible, is something she now carries into leadership, systems and the future of work, filling the hope gap.
What grounded this conversation was the responsibility of leadership in this moment. Not to ignore uncertainty or disruption, instead to integrate it it with perspective and possibility, and to consciously create space for both.
The Shape Shift in motion
At the heart of this conversation was a shift from limitation-led thinking to possibility-led leadership, and from reacting to change to expanding perspective.
This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology:
LEARN (Letting go)
✨ Uncertainty is now part of leadership, not something to eliminate
✨ AI is changing work, but not removing the need for human thinking
✨ Many leaders still default to limitation when facing complexity
UNLEARN (Reimagine, create & reshape)
✨ Unlearn the idea that AI replaces humans, it elevates better thinking
✨ Reimagine leadership as orchestration, not control
✨ Reshape how you see challenges by asking what might be possible

Formless is the space between the form you have outgrown and the one you have not stepped into yet.
These are conversations from inside that space.
