On location at Washougal's 54-40 Brewing was a real treat for us. The atmosphere, the staff, the beauty of the location. are all excellent. However, they serve beer,. And you know how Jacquie feels about beer. 54-40 claims to be "putting the easy back into easy drinking"- I wonder how Jacquie will respond!

A special episode- Jacquie has been busy recording new music with her band, Lace & Thorn, so Brian recruited his sister to help him taste through some amazing brews using experimental hops. We taste Chainline's Intent and Purpose, along with the Haas/Single Hill Outcross trio. Our sipper beer is a nice crisp and hoppy Italian Pilsner from Stoup- a Presto. We missed Jacquie for sure- she will be back on Episode 9!

Beer opens doors. Sure. We got these doors in uptown Vancouver, WA opened a little bit early, and went on location to sip on the legend of Trap Door Brewing. Brian shared some lagers that he thought Jacquie would enjoy, as well as a couple of sours that he hoped she wouldn't. Listen to the magic!

Vancouver, WA's Brothers Cascadia Brewing is right off the I-5 freeway. Packmule.beer does a twice-monthly DROP here on Tuesdays- and on this special Tuesday, they let Brian and Jacquie taste a few of their amazing beers! And the threw in a bonus at the end for us. We enjoyed the diverse offerings- everything from an English Mild to IPAs and Lagers. Well, Brian enjoyed them. Jacquie whined.

Single Hill Brewing's beers bloom of bright flavors, highlighting the hops. Well, they are in the Hop Center of the USA- Yakima, Washington. We had the treat of trying 5 of their world-class beer on a day when Jacquie needed a snack- she was hangry and we all get to enjoy the results!

We went on location in the Pearl in Portland, OR for this episode of Beer Me Roar. We also started a new tradition of drinking game rules, just for fun. We really don't take ourselves too seriously- its beer and it should be fun! We drank some amazing beers including the Clubhouse Lager, Eat Me Cake Sour, Nothing Noble, Bohemian Dark Lager and the Sacred Idol Tropical IPA.

Bellingham Washington is an epic beer community and Wander Brewing is one of the staples! We grabbed a few of their beers for tasting, and Jacquie could have been more excited to try them. She doesn't like beer. At all. Listen along while she explores new flavors and aromas- while Brian laughs at her!

StormBreaker is one of Brian's favorite breweries in Portland! We got to taste a few of the beers, and discuss how it makes us feel, deep down. Well, not really. We just got to share the beer and the experience from two different perspectives!
