It may be surprising to hear, but your dynamic podcast team was not always gifted in the ways of beer and words. No, it's true! On one hot, July day in 2012, the gang locked themselves in an air conditioner-free room with 3 cold brews, beer facts, and a set of microphones determined to bring you an entertaining hour of podcast brilliance. Instead, we bring you this previously un-aired "test-cast" featuring not enough beer, too much sweating, and far too many awkward pauses. Hey folks- thanks for sticking with us. The original team is back where they started and celebrating 50 amazing Episodes! The Beer Mistress, the Professor, and Just Jasen take on another Rogue VooDoo Doughnut flavor, some DuClaw's Sweet Baby Jesus, and Southern Tier's Choklat. The crew reminisces about their favorite moments, favorite beers, and does everything they can to avoid one more round of trivia.

Sean Valentine is back and he brought great beer! This week the gang samples Brooklyn Brewery’s Sorachi Ace, Firestone Walker’s Reserve Porter, and Dogfish Head’s Black and Blue in preparation for the much anticipated podcast Episode 50! There are Amish stories, multiple references to nudity, and some interesting pairing ideas. Sit back, pop open a bottle and settle in for the shenanigans.

Beers that have been smuggled in luggage are the center of this week’s podcast. The Beer Mistress’s recent trip to Scotland is highlighted as well as British imperialism and theatre stories from the team! Cider, scotch, Trout Fishing in America and several listener questions all make appearances!

Thanks to our new best friends at Adroit Theory Brewing Company, we got to try the now legendary Heady Topper from The Alchemist up in Vermont, where more and more fantastic beers seem to be trickling down from. Sometimes it’s good to be downstream I guess. Saving the best for first we then move on to a bright juicy pineapple beer from PA and finished off with a coconut milk stout. There’s really no theme this week. But it sure was fun. We’ll be taking a little time off as the Beer Mistress goes traveling, but we can’t wait to tell you about all the exciting adventures on her return.

Our favorite Imperial Redhead Jordi is back as the guest star in this colorful episode which highlights Jolly Pumpkin, The Lost Abbey and a last minute surprise from RJ Rockers. The crew laughs at the Beer Mistress’s farm girl roots, tells horror stories of blood donation, and discusses condiments as souvenirs. Yeah, let’s focus on that instead of the innuendo and customs smuggling.

With two beer dinners lined up in Pittsburgh, the Dashing Rogue team decided we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try some local brews as we hung out with one of our favorite bands, Rising Regina. Drummer Eric George was kind enough to guest star as well as deliver some local knowledge. Born and bred in Pittsburgh, he was a natural go to, also - he likes beer- so we thought that was pretty cool. Find out what we have to say about Western Pennsylvania breweries: Church Brew Works, Helltown Brewery and Penn Brewery.

Jasen joins the team to try out some Peppercorn Saison and Tripel from two different breweries, Elysian Brewing’s Oddland series and Brewer’s Art. The spice builds as we try a podcast from bed (not quite as saucy as you might imagine, but when you’re on the road so much, sometimes you have to improvise) and talk about some future beer challenges the Rogue Team might be taking on.

Wicked Rich is on a roll: we must either really like him, or we’re just that desperate. This week we feature Avery- a great brewery out of Boulder, CO. In what promises to be our raciest podcast to date full of innuendo and some not so subtle comments, we might also talk about these delicious beers. We do talk about other outrageous things like: beer mixology, NJ being stronger than the storm (and the wonderful song that goes with it) and the battle of Gettysburg.

This is our 42nd podcast and therefore it is the answer to life, the universe, and everything. Happy 4th of July birthday to Cousin Max…and America, we guess.
