I went to Bedford to visit Brewpoint and have a chat with Tim Hickford about the brewery and its history - both in the recent years in its current guise, and their greater history dating back to 1876!
Sandwiched between two sessions of chatting with Tim, I went on the regularly scheduled brewery tour, run by Tim himself.
There's also an impressive live tasting of 6 beers in 30 minutes!

I visited John Hatch at the Sambrook's Brewery taproom in Wandsworth, Southwest London, on the old Young's Brewery site. John works for the brewery, but also brews heritage beers as The Ram Brewery using a "scrapheap challenge" nano-brewery that was cobbled together from materials during the Young's exit. There are plenty of fascinating stories, and John delivers them in style, while wearing his trademark lab coat!
