For this episode, we thought we would bring the big man back to talk about some of his classic appearances and songs, from the never released Kingswood Country and all the way through to his last feature, with a few rarities along the way.

We had a lot of fun with Oath and we get some added insight from Overproof Pete and Kilz, of the Towndrunxx and 750 Rebels, who also sat in on this episode.

It’s an honour to be joined by Aaron Reimer aka Brat of WAR CRU for this, the 47th instalment of Beers, Beats & The Biz.

Where It Began: Brisbane and Gold Coast Graffiti ‘84 to ‘94 is the forthcoming book from Brisbane writer Aaron Reimer aka Bratski, documenting the graffiti scene in South East Queensland from its inception.

We talk graffiti history on all lines, from Beenleigh to Shorncliffe and from Ipswich to Ferny Grove. We get Brat’s personal history within the culture and get the backstory on some of our city’s earliest moments in hip hop.

Big Linz talks everything from growing up in Townsville and discovering graffiti during trips to Brisbane to staying in The Bronx with Seen and the humble beginnings of global paint giant, Ironlak.

Between it all we hear stories about growing up in North QLD and his earliest pieces, the origins of his tag, his influences, becoming a sales rep and developing colours for Ironlak and on to travelling the world as a writer, fine artist and the many people he’s connected with during those travels.

We talk painting the cover of Trem’s FTTOHNL, Ironlak’s Killer Combo series, living with Seen, lunching with Iz the Wiz, Can Two’s technique, the importance of Brisbane MC Ken Oath, Townsville’s Realm City crew, the Ironlak Writer Team and the influence of 750 and what the crew has meant to him.

It’s an honour to be joined by veteran Brisbane musician and Resin Dogs drummer, Dave Atkins for the 40th instalment of Beers, Beats & The Biz.
