Jay and Tim are back. They set their wayback machines all the way back to the Summer of 2021 and discuss Blue and Gold #1 by Dan Jurgens, Ryan Sook, Rob Leigh, Brittany Holzherr, and Jamie S. Rich. The Booster Gold/Blue Beetle series we were promised in the late 1980s has finally arrived.
After some potentially exciting news, Jay returns to dust off two more episodes of the classic 1940 radio series The Blue Beetle. The radio series chronicled the exploits of Dan Garrett, a rookie patrolman who, by wearing bullet-proof blue chain mail, transformed himself into the mysterious Blue Beetle, a daring crusader for justice.
The Blue Beetle was created by Charles Nicholas. The character made his first appearance in August of 1939 in the comic book Mystery Men #1, published by Fox Features Syndicate.
The Blue Beetle radio serial aired from May 15, 1940 to September 13, 1940 as a CBS 30 minute syndicated series. Actor Frank Lovejoy provided the voice of the Blue Beetle for the first thirteen episodes.

Tim shares with us his review of "Christmas with the Beetles" from the 2008 DC Universe Holiday Special. It is a sweet tale that features Dan, Ted, and Jaimie.
Jay and Tim travel to 1983 and review "Return from Pago Island" and "The Blue Beetle to Live Again" from Americomics (vol 1) #3. The stories, by Rik Levins, Bill Black, Tim Bove, Rebecca Black, Leo J. Laney, Neal Stannard, and Pat Broderick, both focus on the return of Dan Garrett in too uniquely stupid ways.

Tim and Jay visit 1965 and review "Blue Beetle Meets the Evil Mister Crabb and His Monster of Doom... the Scorpion" from Blue Beetle (vol 3) #50. The story, by Joe Gill, Bill Fraccio, Tony Tallarico, and Pat Masulli, introduces us to the mysterious oil pirate Mr. Crabb (agent of the Dirty Commies and clearly not human).
In this brief mini-episode, Tim reflects on the talent of Len Wein just days after his passing at the age of 69. He was far too young to pass and probably had many stories left to tell. He left a mark on the industry that will never be erased and not soon forgotten.
Tim and Jay can barely hold in their excitement over this issue. It is the return (if even only temporary) of the classic Ted Kord Blue Beetle... costume! "Transformations" from Blue Beetle (vol 10) #8 was produced by Keith Giffen, J.M. DeMatteis, Scott Kolins, Romulo Fajardo, Jr., Josh Reed, Jim Chadwick, Rob Levin, Tyler Kirkham, and Tomeu Morey.
Jay is back, and in this episode, he takes us back to 1939 and plays "Drug Ring parts 1 & 2" from the Blue Beetle radio serial. This story, by persons unknown, features the Dan Garret version of Blue Beetle versus dope pushers.
