The gang is back, and here is what you need to know:
After the Checkers
- Martin Truex, Jr. dominates in Sonoma, leading nearly half of the laps in the race and holding off a late charge
- Chase Elliott and Alan Gustafson take a big swing during a late race caution that ultimately fails to get them the win they needed, but still secures a Top-5. We discuss whether it's too little too late or not.
- HMS has seemed to be running a bit weak on the road courses as of late. Is it a bigger issue than it may appear?
Before the Green
- We are headed to Nashville Superspeedway, the 1.33 mile concrete tri-oval
- HMS is currently undefeated here in the Cup Series (Larson '21, Elliott '22)

Your favorite, new weekly NASCAR fan podcast is back...and we're back with some aggression. Things get heated this week over various topics, but it starts with something none of us anticipated.
Here's the things we hit on in our After the Checkers segment:
- Ryan Blaney wins the Coke 600, ending a 59-race winless streak
- Aric Almirola and Bubba Wallace have a one-push shoving match
- Denny Hamlin is hooked by Chase Elliott resulting in NASCAR suspending their most popular driver for one race
We also look towards this weekend race in Gateway during our Before the Green portion before introducing our newest segment, The In-Between. Each week, Marilee is going to look at a different element of the NASCAR world that takes place during the week that we often don't think of our focus on during the race week. This week, for her first segment, she looks at a typical race teams schedule and breaks it down for all of us.
We also answer Korey's Kwestion of the Week before wrapping things up for another great week on the podcast!

This week we have one of our hottest debated topics thus far as we attempt to place blame for the McDowell and Gibbs incident, discuss the shear dominance of Kyle Larson and touch on Bubba Wallace who finds himself in controversy yet again, even though the worst is far from his fault.
Join us as we recap the All-Star race and get geared up for Charlotte and the Coca-Cola 600!
The crew is back in the studio this week with some slight adjustments to the recording situation that forced a bit of a delay in how the podcast is produced. On a more positive note, however, the gang was happy to be back!
