Behind the Line

Roger Goodell promised the NFL would be new and improved for the 2021 regular season. During the offseason...Roger Goodell promised the NFL was going to renew its push on social justice.

He only half delivered on that promise. NBC and the NFL did play the black national anthem along with the national anthem. Other than that...the social justice propaganda was kept to a minimum.

It showed in the ratings...as the NFL hit a six-year high for the season opener. We reveal and react to preliminary ratings last night for Cowboys/Buccaneers...and ponder whether the NFL can maintain this momentum the rest of the season.

Sha'Carri Richardson was thrust into the mainstream by the media...after she was suspended from competing in the Olympics. Sha'Carri Richardson handled the Olympic suspension with class and grace. She took responsibility for her actions...and vowed to return better than before.

Sha'Carri Richardson had the empathy of America. The problem has been...everything she has done in the aftermath. We review the last two months in the life of Sha'Carri Richardson...and outline each glaring mistake she made.

We provide proof of how far Sha'Carri Richardson has fallen...and explain how no matter what she does in track and field going forward...the mainstream media attention is unlikely to return.

Stephen A Smith and ESPN have been on a crusade to prove they're all about diversity and inclusion. However...after viewing the changes of First Take...and other changes at ESPN this week...it seems diversity isn't truly what the network is about.

We review the guest list for the first week of First Take without Max Kellerman...and explain how Stephen A Smith proved our prediction right. Stephen A Smith is transforming ESPN into BET. We explain the hypocrisy behind this...and how ESPN is bowing their knee to woke Twitter.

We also look into the problem when you based hiring decisions based on color...instead of hiring the most qualified candidate.

England can't have a World Cup Qualifying Match without some type of controversy caused by woke behavior. The English players were booed by fans in Poland for kneeling before the match began...with Robert Lewandowski from Poland signaling the fans to respect England.

During the game...Kyle Walker made claims against Kamil Glik. We show videotape from an incident that occurred during the match...and react to the claims made by Kyle Walker.

We explain how this at minimum is being blown out of proportion...and at worse...Kyle Walker could be fabricating this claim entirely.

Kenny Mayne has went woke. Months after parting ways with ESPN...where he spent 27 years being apolitical...Kenny Mayne has removed the mask and revealed his woke beliefs. We review and react to comments Kenny Mayne gave in an interview with John Gonzalez at The Ringer.

Kenny Mayne claims he was silenced at ESPN...and wasn't allowed to talk politics. He also claims that Donald Trump and his supporters are biased against minorities. We blast Kenny Mayne...and criticize John Gonzalez at The Ringer for not asking follow-up questions.

We also question why Kenny Mayne remains loyal to the woke agenda...after ESPN and the agenda turned its back on him after 27 years of service.

Kimmy Yam from NBC Asian America published an interesting article this morning. She made the assertion that Major League Baseball has a clear bias against Asian players...because there isn't one Asian player in the baseball Hall-of-Fame.

She makes the case for Hideo Nomo...players like Ichiro Suzuki...and claims Major League Baseball past history is the reason Asians are excluded.

We bust through this myth...and provide the REAL reason there isn't an Asian player in the Major League Baseball Hall-of-Fame. We also explain that Kimmy Yam either wrote this article for attention...or didn't do her research.

Shelby Rogers followed the victim mentality of Sloane Stephens and Naomi Osaka. There seems to be a trend in the WTA. After a loss...players like Shelby Rogers and Sloane Stephens victimize themselves...and blame negativity on social media.

We explain how this is becoming an epidemic in women's tennis. Naomi Osaka is taking a break...which we said should've happened last month after her public meltdown. Both Sloane Stephens and Shelby Rogers can't handle the online abuse.

We give our theory as to why Shelby Rogers...Sloane Stephens...and Naomi Osaka are struggling with social media. We also provide the solution...and explain why none of them will adhere to the solution to the problem.

NBA Playoff ratings were at record lows in 2020...and near record lows in 2021. When NBA ratings decline...the media points to several excuses. Cord cutting...holiday weekends...and ratings declining across all of television.

Opening weekend of the college football season proved each of these myths wrong. College football ratings surged this past weekend. ESPN/ABC and other broadcast network saw their best college football ratings in 15 years.

We reveal the ratings...and explain why college football was such a success this past weekend. We compare the NCAA to NBA ratings...and show how it's possible to actually increase television ratings in 2021.

We also share concerns with NFL ratings...and their decision to follow the NBA social justice blueprint.

Kyle Farnsworth vented his frustration about the softness of modern Major League Baseball players to Twitter yesterday. He vaguely called out players who missed game due to soreness...with the insinuation he was talking about Baltimore Orioles star Trey Mancini.

Apparently Kyle Farnsworth didn't know Trey Mancini battled and defeated stage 3 colon cancer last year...and Twitter proceeded to blast Kyle Farnsworth for his lack of sympathy. We react to this story...and explain how this is one occurrence...where woke Twitter and the media reacted properly.

Brian Kelly and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish pulled off a nice overtime in at Florida State Sunday night. It was the best game of the opening weekend of the college football season...but the Notre Dame win isn't what the media is talking about.

Instead...they're up in arms over a ten second clip of Brian Kelly's postgame interview...and an insignificant bad joke he made. We show and react to the clip of Brian Kelly...and blast the woke media and blue check marks on Twitter.

We call out Bar Stool Sports...who usually operates with a modicum of common sense...for their overreaction to the comments of Brian Kelly. We explain how this is another example of the media attempting to silence and cancel someone.
