On April 30, Amy hosted a Dining Out for Life event at Aperitivo in the Downtown Market in Grand Rapids. John stopped by with his wife, Pam, and they helped raise money for a good cause.

While they were there, John and Amy recorded a short podcast to update listeners about this weekend's "Behind the Mitten" debut on WOOD Radio 1300 AM and 106.9 FM. The show will typically air at 6 p.m. on Sundays, but because the Griffins hockey team is still in the Calder Cup playoffs, their show will debut after the Griffins game on May 2 (about 10 p.m.). If the Griffins lose, their show is expected to air in its normal time slot.

While Amy Sherman was out celebrating her birthday on April 28 at Founders Brewery in Grand Rapids, her radio co-host John Gonzalez was busy working. He stopped by the West Michigan Whitecaps to hear about a great deal they have on May 1, 2015 where fans will be able to sample Michigan craft beer for 1/2 off.
