Behind The Timeline

Iron Man, my ass! Back to the Future is obviously the first film in the MCU timeline. We totally prove it without even making too many stretches. Sue us. Whatever! Anyway, join as we break down time-travel differences across film, try to figure out which George is the Variant, inject Oedipus (because why not?) and celebrate finally getting to make an episode-necessary Flash reference.

COCKTAIL PARTIES! Lindsay wants 'em, Bruce Wayne didn't get 'em - whatta tragedy. What he did get was a noir-fueled caped detective adventure through a gritty, harrowing and at times even terrifying new Gotham. The newest outing for the famed Caped Crusader sees Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz and many more battle familiar faces from movies passed with new life and backstories, all the while giving us a fresh and vibrant take on a classic staple of comic book heroics. Join us, along with our official Batman-Expert, Matt, as we grapple our way through this somewhat perplexingly-long flick and be sure you check it out yourself. This is not something you wanna miss on the big screen!

Okay, so I think what we learned here today is that Scott shouldn't be allowed to run episodes without Lindsay's supervision. Joining in her stead due to scheduling clashes are both Scott's mother and his aunt, who were both awesome to discuss this coming-of-age classic with! From what it was really like for parents during that time to high school social cliques and where we thought we ourselves landed, there's something for everyone in this episode. Not to mention a few rabbit holes. Oh, and did we mention Scott's dad went to high school with David Spade?

I think I can safely say, without a shadow of a doubt, this was the number one, most despised movie we've ever reviewed; Lindsay's words. You heard 'em here, live! Kinda. Anyway, we got so lost in the weeds of bullying, turtles, Stranger Things (again!) and even Jumanji that it was difficult to remember what movie we were even covering, at times. Needless to say there were some things Lindsay would've changed immediately!

"You're the best... AROUND! No one's ever gonna break ya down!!" We're taking down the Cobra Kai a-holes and their psychopathic leader in this hilariously fun romp through 1984's sleeper-hit, The Karate Kid. Lindsay had, we can finally confirm, never seen this movie up to this point and weirdly, all it did was continually remind her of The O.C. and The Hills, which is one thing, but the absolute right-turn we take down Bummer Boulevard when discussing Mr. Miyagi's background is another subject entirely! Join us for all this and much more right here!

This is the way! Ooo, man that's the first time I've gotten to write that on here and it felt soooo good, lemme tell you. As a special treat for all of you, we're bringing a full review and recap of the first season of Disney+'s newest Star Wars show, The Book of Boba Fett, featuring our very special guest, Erik. What worked? What could've been done differently? What just absolutely needed to never be seen by human eyes? Follow along as we jump from tales in the "Legends" to how this could impact the future of the current lore and more!

Who. You. Gonna. CALL!? And now that song's stuck in your head. You're welcome. Just like it was for us - the entire time we recorded, legitimately this song never left our brains. A pop-culture staple of the 80's, if not all time, Ghostbusters has finally hit the timeline and we couldn't be happier about it. From the up-and-down weirdness of the visuals to the hilarious ad-lib'ing throughout the entire movie, we've got you covered on everything that makes this movie an incredibly good time, day or night!

This one was tough, friends. Let us tell you! We drove the Struggle Bus right into Struggle Town on brand new Strugglestone tires. From the annoyances of Willie Scott to the completely ridiculous plotholes to Willie Scott to blatant insensitivity and just pure terrible choices to Willie Scott, this movie was easily the hardest we here at BTT have forced ourselves to complete. We hope you enjoy, because we didn't.

We skipped it, originally, but for the second time: We've heard you! Prepare yourselves for a very nit-picky, "What the hell was what!?"-style episode about a supposedly-beloved classic from the early 80's. You've heard this story a thousand times, we get it. Alien finds tree, alien gets left behind then hunted by a dude with a key obsession from we think the Government/NASA, alien meets annoyingly-controlling and insanely incompetent children, yada-yada. Basically, it's the movie that Stranger Things became the reboot of, let's just leave it at that.

Scott and Lindsay are back with special guest Anna for Season Two and a Dalmatian Extravaganza! We're making up for skipping all those dog movies by covering everything from the original 1956 novel 101 Dalmatians through 2021's Cruella. Did the Dalmatian Plantation fail within the first 5 years? Just how poorly thought out was Cruella's plan to murder over 100 dogs? And why didn't anybody tell me about Pongo's religious experience before now? Join us for answers to these and so many more important questions about 101 Dalmatians!
