Behind The Timeline

Holy crap - new theme song, new mics, new season of Amazon's 'The Boys'!? Yea, we think it's definitely Hot Girl Summer out here. In an effort to capitalize on the badassery that is this wonderfully realistic but somehow still fantastically insane show, we've decided to halt the Timeline and become a temporary 'The Boys' show. And where better to start than at the very beginning; Join Lindsay and special guest Matt for a full breakdown of the first three episodes, and be sure to check back each week as we discuss and review each new one!

So, okay... we've been gone for two weeks. We know. But it was worth it to get a new MCU review featuring buzzed co-hosts, for the first time! It was a wild time and we tackled a lot that went down across the Multiverse. What'd we think of Wanda? How dope was the demonic cape? What was the word Scott couldn't remember that began with an "F"? We've got answers to almost all these!

IT'S A SURPRISE EPISODE NO ONE SAW COMING!! With Lindsay 30,000 feet too high to stop Scott, the inmates are running the Hippo-led asylum tonight. Joined by his good friend Erik, America's Sweetheart biasedly breaks down the best MCU show from Disney+, yet. How much does Scott really know about Moon Knight? What was the representation like across the show? What's next for "Khonshu's Fist"? Only one way to find out!

Prejudice. Grief. Gluttony. Mental age-reversion. We've got it all right here in a single, hour-long movie from your - and our - childhood. The Land Before Time takes us all down a whirlwind rollercoaster track of learning to grieve, grow and gain as we watch Littlefoot, Petrie, Cera, Ducky and Spike struggle to find a new home in the Great Valley. And Lindsay struggles to remember a conversation that happened literally 45 seconds ago. It's all here for you - and more!

You know who it was. You literally know the instant you meet him. That's not what we're here to talk about, okay? We're here to talk about how this was actually a movie way smarter than it had any real right to be. From the social commentary on artists' views to how to write a compelling backstory and redemption for a main character to... who Jessica should've really been with? Does this say... King Triton? What the f- ...

You're a wizard, Timeliners! At last, we've arrived at the Magical World of Harry Potter. Is it unfortunate we get our first stint in the Wizarding World via the Fantastic Beasts' portkey? That's for you to decide - we've already made up our minds. From Jell-O like soft-magic systems to chaotic plot points to the sheer brilliance that is the first few minutes of this movie, Lindsay and Scott are here to take you through their particular brand of Every-Flavor Beans. Be sure to let us know what you thought of the film, and the where you'd like to see WB go from here!

What the hell, Don Bluth!? How did such a sleeper classic become one of our most-deeply-discussed films to date? From the 1885 raids to life as an immigrant in New York to the next chapter in the saga that is the Multiverse of Mousedom! We're not letting this go - all the mice movies are connected. We're committed to this. It's a part of us, now.

Nope, you read that correctly. It's another Disney movie, NOT MORBIUS! Schedule changes, wardrobe changes, climate changes; They all happened this past weekend and so here we are to discuss a criminally under-appreciated Dark Age masterpiece, instead. Join us as we try to figure out why we hate certain Disney animal films more than others, stand firm on Ratigan having one of the Top 5 best villain songs ever, and discuss the importance of the various dominos he helped start to topple across the Disney-scape.

Huh... maybe covering this wasn't such a good idea. Things got weird during this movie - yea, that word gets used a lot this episode. Either way, join Scott and his aviation-nerd-friend-in-arms Andrew as they discuss unnecessary sweating, how there's really two movies happening at the same time and what the average payload of an F-14 Tomcat actually was during this time!

Alright look. We're gonna be straight with you guys: We lied. We've got one more movie in'85. We forgot - we're not perfect, though we understand why you would think that. To make amends, we've concluded our run of this year in the timeline with The Black Cauldron, the dark, forgotten terror of Disney's "Dark Ages". A movie of firsts in several regards, we touch on everything from the lack of plot development to the paper-thin character info and marvel at the proto-forms of some future, beloved characters we all know!
