Politics was a natural progression from running.  Running continues to play a critical role in Keron's life.  Keron is community organizer, from the East.  Building the block and people one action at a time.  "We can! We Will! We Must!"  We had the honor of interviewing him on his son's birth day, he even made a guest appearance.  During this episode we talked all things running and politics.

Tyler Perry is often criticized for his art.  For some reason people find it necessary to offer their opinion-much like I'm doing here in the show notes and during this episode.  Perry started producing films out of his car now he's a Billionaire, he did it on his terms.  He ignored the critics and focused on serving his audience.

I'm tired of denouncing politics.  If you have to ask a leader to come out in support or denounce something then it's going to come across as contrived or forced.  Begging the guy in White House to speak out against vigilante justice is a waste of time, I guess it makes for a good sound bite.

When we're starting something new, we have to allow a grace period, a time to master basics, before moving to the next level.  Rushing stages, trying to skip levels will only lead to frustration and wasted time.  The worst thing you can do is compare yourself to others.  Learn to enjoy the journey.

We all face our own private battles, some give us a peek into the interior working of their lives in hopes of inspiring others who maybe going through a similar trial.  There's not right way or wrong way to handle your personal situation.  The creator in me might be inclined to document thing and somethings, but some private and never make the light of day.

The truth still matters, even though some may want to create an alternate universe, the truth still matters.  Even those that believe in alternative facts they don't want to be lied to.  A hard truth to deal with is, if the democrats take the same approach in 2016 we're going to have a repeat performance.

Death is a part of life, there's no escaping the grave.  Make the most out of your life while you're here, we don't know how much time will be afford to us.  Khalia Wright the CEO/Founder of MessInABottle posted something earlier in the week about, keep sharing, someone will hear you-(I'm paraphrasing).  I received that message, but I didn't take a screenshot or repost it on my timeline.  A few days later, Amanda the Digital Marketing Manager for Marathon Sports and SoundRunner hit me up to write a piece on Increasing Diversity & Inclusion in Running I was happy to share a few thoughts on the matter.  I don't see many people of color running in CT and I'd like to change the complexion of running in the State.  It is in the best interest of running shoe manufactures and brands within the running/endurance community to see an increase in the color of the sport.   

You are making a difference, your life matters keep on showing up in the world, if someone you knows inspires you let them know, drop them a quick note.

I bumped into the franchise owner of Wing It On in Stratford, I obviously personally invited him to be a guest on the show.  Osman immediately recognized me: "Hey, you're the guy who did that btrm review.  Yes, that was me.  Earlier in the day I stopped into Fatty Patty, they wanted me to buy a a water in order to get a code to use the bathroom, nah I'm good.  But, now I'm curious to see what their restrooms look like.

Alex always enjoyed things in relation to audio.  he started off as a rapper (his lyrics were more focused on the uplifting feeling, being there for each other and the feeling that you are on top of the world).  As he became older, he decided to play around with music production programs to release the musical melodies that were bouncing around in his head. When it came to his instrumental style, he created everything from scratch and Alex enjoyed making the following style of music: Classical, Hip Hop, R&B, Lo-Fi, Scores (epic movie music). As much as I enjoy making music, I always wanted to make something that everyone can enjoy (music is subjective so I was limiting the potential people I can connect with).

As Alex got older his voice became deeper, to the point where he started sounding like a radio host.  I had to ask, Yo Alex is that your real voice, his response:  "Yes, that is indeed my real voice."
