  • Your Comfort Zone Is Holding You Back
We're going to talk about being uncomfortable and why that could be a problem for you. I completely know what it is to be comfortable. We all have these things in our lives, not just in our careers, but in our lives, that if they don't take place, we're a little off. If it doesn't happen, it seems like the rest of the day is not the same. • Brown Female Professionals - Stop Self Rejecting!

Within the Brown and Black female professional community, self rejecting seems to be a more reoccurring challenge that we deal with on a regular basis.

What this means is when we tell ourselves we are not good enough, or when we focus more than the average person does on past mistakes and failures, and we let that define us or any kind of misstep we have.

  • Hesitation is NOT the word and definitely NOT the way for 2021

As you're entering into this new year, do not allow yourself to pause. We've probably been in that state of pause for most of 2020, not by anything that we could control, but this is not what we want to take into 2021 even though naturally that would be the direction.

So go ahead and put some career goals in place for yourself for this year. Allow resiliency to step in and take control, showing that you do have what it takes to pick up from where we left off in 2020 and move forward in 2021.
