Affirmations are statements that are made until belief grows and triggers your brain to believe what you are saying. The reason most people who write down and read affirmations get frustrated and quit, is not only because of their lack of discipline, but also they are not getting the dopamine hit from instant gratification.
They are expecting miracles and pixie dust to solve their problems.
Jesus doesn’t walk around with a magic wand to take all of your problems and pain away.
Declarations are statements made from a position of belief and therefore they have authority and power already.
You must exercise your authority and power correctly. This involves work, very often, hard work. This involves time, very often longer time than we want to wait. It also involves greater rewards than you can presently imagine if you exercise it in a way that is bigger and greater than you.
You may have favor in a situation or not. It isn’t for you to gloat and rub it in people’s faces.
It is for you to glorify God through the accomplishment.
You have the authority to engage your creativity and to declare a solution to what you are seeking. That doesn’t mean that you won’t have to be strong and go to war with whatever you are fighting.
It does mean, that if you are able to see the God-sized challenges in front of you, that you can overcome them in time.
