Sermon Text: John 4:31-42

Main Idea: Jesus teaches that we should find our fulfillment in doing God's will urgently and that when we do God's will, it bears fruit in our life and our community.

We see this in three parts of Jesus' teaching:

1. The Food: Jesus' food was to complete God's will in His life. Our fulfillment and nourishment should be to do God's Will as it is revealed in Scripture.

2. The Fields: Jesus uses an agricultural analogy to tell the people to work urgently at accomplishing God's will in God's power.

3. The Fruit: When we are diligent to do God's will, we will see fruit in our own lives and the life of our community.

Sermon Title: A Shocking Conversation

Jesus' Conversation with the Samaritan Woman at the Well was a Shocking Conversation because it shows Jesus presenting the Gospel to people the Jews hated. In the process:

1. Jesus offers a Different Water

2. Jesus prescribes Different Worship

3. Jesus' encounter leaves her a Different Woman

Sermon Title: He Must Increase, We Must Decrease.

Main idea: How can we decrease that He might Increase?

1. Recognize that God is the Source of Everything Good.

2. Rejoice in Our Role.

3. Receive the Testimony of the Gospel.

4. Re-Tell the Story.

Title: "The Father's Love"

Text: John 3:16-21

Main Question: How does this passage reveal God's Love?

1. The Father's Love is seen in who He loves: The sinful nations of the World.

2. The Father's Love is seen in Who He sent: Jesus Christ, His Only-Begotten Son.

3. The Father's Love is seen in why He sent Him: To save and give eternal life rather than condemnation.

Title: "Born Again"

Text: John 3:1-15

Main idea: What does it mean to be "born again" and why is it so important?

1. Being born again is a requirement to enter the Kingdom of God. (John 3:1-3)

2. Being born again comes as a result of the work of the Holy Spirit. (John 3:4-8)

3. Being born again is only possible by the work of Christ. (John 3:9-15)

Conclusion: Believe in Jesus Christ and be born again!

 "Love for God's House"

1. Wickedness in God's House: Wickedness seeps in so we must be on guard against it, and ready to drive it back.

2. Passion for God's House: Jesus displayed a passion by showing a passion for holiness.

3. Authority over God's House: Jesus replaced the temple and is the head of the church. Thus, we must submit to His authority.

Conclusion: Jesus knows what is in us and who we are.

Application: We should seek to be sure that our church is healthy by defending against false doctrines and by submitting to Christ's authority.

How do we respond when we face difficulties?

1. Run to Jesus with our Problems.

2. Radical Obedience to Jesus

3. Rest Assured that Jesus Can Change things.

4. Recognize Jesus' Glory in Every Situation

When you face a problem this week, follow Jesus as a disciple by doing these four things!

John 1: 35-51

Main Idea: Jesus is calling us to be disciples and make disciples.

Question: What does a disciple do?

1. Disciples follow Jesus.

2. Disciples invite others to follow Jesus.

3. Disciples see amazing things as they follow Jesus.

Application point: We should be following Jesus as closely as possible and teaching others to do the same by obeying God's Word. This week, think about what you can do to follow Christ more closely and who you can lead to do the same.

Sermon Title: What do you have to say for yourself?

Main idea: How should Witnesses respond to Questions about who we are?

1. Prepare people for Christ by calling them to Repent.

2. Point them to Jesus and Who He Is.

3. Preach that Jesus is the Son of God.
