Benedict Cumberbatch has confirmed he will return as Doctor Strange in the upcoming Marvel film Avengers: Doomsday. This marks his fourth appearance as the character in an Avengers movie. Cumberbatch stated that filming will begin in early 2025. He also expressed his excitement for the creative collaboration that comes with the ensemble film, especially with director Anthony Russo. Avengers: Doomsday is currently scheduled for release on May 1, 2026.
