It’s our Best Actress Category Overview! Glenn Close is finally having HER year, or is she? Lady Gaga turned in one of the best musical performances of the decade, but will she win? Olivia Colman delivers as much range and intrigue as any actress in the past several years, but she’s not showing up to award shows? Yalitza was teaching pre-school, and now she’s nominated for a Best Actress Oscar. Then if Melissa McCarthy got an Oscar Nom for enthusiastically shitting into a sink, she’s gonna win an honorary EGOT for forging literary letters, right??!!

We breakdown each of these nominees, making the case for and against their chances of winning. It’s a rhetorical exercise only the greatest minds could make plausible, and we’re are far from said heads. So what you’re left with… is another batshit episode of Mike, Mike, and Oscar.
