WHO Attempts To Clear Up Statement That It's "Very Rare" To Get COVID From Asymptomatic People

The World Health Organization said it is "very rare" that asymptomatic people could spread COVID-19, but now says it's a "major unknown." 

The WHO's technical lead for coronavirus response said there is a subset of infected people who never develop symptoms, making them "asymptomatic." 

The CDC estimates that 40 percent of transmission occurs before people feel sick, meaning they're "presymtomatic."

The three former Minneapolis police officers involved in the George Floyd case will face felony aiding and abetting charges.  Attorney General Keith Ellison said he is also upgrading the charge against former officer Derek Chauvin [[ SHO-vin ]] to second-degree murder. Ellison said second-degree murder in Minnesota means that a suspect intended to kill the victim. The other officers being charged are Thomas Lane, J. Alexander Kueng [[ keng ]] and Tou Thao  [[ too tau ]]. Lane and Kueng both helped Chauvin restrain Floyd. Thao kept the crowd back as they pleaded with officers to loosen their restraints so Floyd could breathe. Ellison said he sees no reason the former officers will not be able to get a fair trial in Minneapolis.
