Mike Mulligan and David Haugh conducted their daily 5 at 5 segment, which began with a discussion about how long it will take for Cal first baseman Andrew Vaughn, whom the White Sox selected at No. 3 overall in the amateur draft Monday, to get the big leagues. They then had a conversation about White Sox right-hander Lucas Giolito going from borderline big leaguer to the American League Pitcher of the Month for May. The guys also debated what was a more welcome sight for the Cubs: the offense hitting with runners in scoring position or left-hander Jon Lester looking like himself again? The morning crew then discussed whether they're concerned that the Cubs selected Fresno State right-hander Ryan Jensen with the No. 27 pick when he was rated the 99th-best prospect by MLB Network and 109th by Baseball America. Finally, the guys discussed their thoughts on Minnesota Vikings chief operating officer Kevin Warren being named the new Big Ten commissioner. (6/4/19)
