The Chicago Bears are in a much better position to beat the Detroit Lions now than they were in Week 2, while the opposite is true for Ben Johnson's former team.

That doesn't mean it's going to be an easy victory, but the Bears have no excuse to lose in the season finale.

The Chicago Bears are locked into a home playoff game, but earning the No. 2 seed to play the Green Bay Packers in the first round will be the best path for them.

That would be the easier matchup than either the San Francisco 49ers or Los Angeles Rams, if the Bears dropped to the No. 3 seed instead.

The Chicago Bears defense couldn't stop the San Francisco 49ers when Ben Johnson needed it most, negating an otherwise strong performance from Caleb Williams.

It's tough to swallow in the short term, but big showings from Luther Burden and Colston Loveland show a very bright future for this offense.
