The Chicago Bears could have their next head coach by the end of the week. 

Now that the Detroit Lions have been eliminated from the playoffs, offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn will get hired away quickly, and the head coach dominos will start falling.

The Chicago Bears are chipping away at their head coach interviews, and Ryan Poles could be in for a long process.

If the Pittsburgh Steelers wanted to move on from Mike Tomlin, the Chicago Bears would be lucky to have him as a head coach. The obstacle is the potential trade compensation.

It's hard to justify trading multiple high picks in the NFL Draft for a coach when Ryan Poles has good candidates to choose from on the open market.

If the Chicago Bears want to hire a veteran head coach with experience, Pete Carroll is a better option than Mike Vrabel.

Neither is a perfect head coach candidates, but Carroll has the better track record and coaching tree, and he fits better with the Bears organization.

The Chicago Bears don't have to hire an offensive head coach to properly develop Caleb Williams. They need the best coach for the job, regardless of which side of the ball he specializes in.

Whether it's Ben Johnson, Mike Vrabel or even Matt Campbell, finding the right leader matters more than whether he calls plays or not.
