This Best of Season 1 episode with Jirl Buck once again opens with a cameo from ROSIE who is ironically talking about cooking spaghetti bake.  The ironic part of this is that Rosie would eventually make her own printed cookbook which would sell out in a matter of days! This episode was recorded right after the Dean Kephart episode on the same trip.  I drove down to the Duncan, Oklahoma Hampton Inn to meet and record with Jirl who was at the American Heritage Bucking Bull competition.  After recording, Jirl introduced me to the world of bucking bulls and his partner H.D. Page.  I felt like a kid in the candy store.  The day only got better as Jirl and his partner swept the contest bringing home many buckles and a lot of cash.  This episode is full of great stories from childhood to current day and I consider Jirl Buck one of my greatest lifelong friends from the livestock/showstock industry.
