Bodden Town's Aleka Beckford is enjoying her first time competing in the Miss Cayman Islands Universe pageant. The 24-year-old hopes to bring more awareness to creative arts in schools, as well advocating for mental health.

Representing the district of Bodden Town, 25-year-old Mariah Tibbetts is on a quest to be one of the country's top ambassador.

Growing up on Cayman Brac, Tibbetts has a genuine Caymanian background. An auditor by day, Tibbetts has relished the opportunity to represent the country during the pageant process using an engaging social media presence that highlights her personality and wholesome Caymankind.

If crowned Miss Cayman Islands Universe, Ms. Tibbetts would like to advocate for environmental issues such as reducing plastic waste as well as her continued support for mental health education.

Bodden Town's Kadejah Bodden own joins us for co-hosting duties on the road to the Miss Cayman Islands Universe pageant.

Bodden, 23, is a recent graduate of Biochemistry and Regenerative Medicine, and hopes to elevate these sciences in the Cayman Islands. She is also interested bringing more academic research to local academic institutions.

In her first time competing in Miss Cayman Islands, Bodden has embraced the newfound challenge the pageant has presented her with and is excited about the opportunity to be one of the country's lead ambassador.

Representing East End, contestant no. 2 Samantha Dixon joins us on Monday's edition of the Morning BOB. Dixon, 27, tells us why she finally decided to enter the pageant, in this, her final year of eligibility.

What issues does she feel impact the future of Cayman? Why is she the best choice as one of the country's biggest ambassadors? Why does she love slow-jams?

Waide The Intern, brother of former Miss Cayman Islands Tonie Chisholm, relives the infamous night in Las Vegas where Miss Universe host Steve Harvey botched the coronation ceremony.

The Sports Guy has a history of great interns in the sports department including 'Big Biscuit' and 'Ava the Superstar'. His newest addition 'Waide the Intern' now known as 'Big Waide' or 'The Big Clock' showed up nine minutes late on his first day.
