Brit promises the man a fair trial in Sunset, but as he is transporting him back to town they meet up with a posse out searching for the cold-blooded killer of Sam Fletcher.

As both Brit and the posse relate their respective stories, both parties are in for a big surprise.

The Line Up - "Be-Bop Bandits Bungling Bang-Bang"

Ben is sent to investigate a very violent bank robbery where several victims have been killed and those who survived are all in a state of shock.

As he pieces together the story he learns that three men dressed in identical business suits and wearing real looking identical masks entered the bank with sub-machine guns. The men almost immediately started shooting.

The guard explains he shot back but didn't think he hit any of them. When a blood trail is spotted outside, however, the police follow it into a city underground tunnel where they find one of the thieves dead.

His death, the detectives deduce, was not caused by bullets from the guard, but rather came from a machine gun.

One or both of his partners had finished him off.

Holly Martins is an out of work pulp fiction novelist. He is in post war Vienna, a city he finds facing critical shortages of goods -- resulting in a flourishing black market. Holly has traveled to Austria at the invitation of an old school friend named Harry Lime, who has offered him a job. But he soon finds out that he is too late -- Harry Lime has recently been killed in a traffic accident.

After spending some time speaking with Lime's friends and associates, Martins takes note of inconsistencies in their stories. He then makes up his mind to find out what really happened to the mysterious Mr. Lime.

When Big Dan Daggitt, a kind but rather uncouth mountain man, checks into the Dodge House, Mr. Dobie thinks little of it. However, when he discovers Dan's wife, Rose, is the daughter of Yellow Horse, a Pawnee warrior responsible for the deaths of many local settlers, he wants them out of the hotel.

When Matt refuses to evict them, Dobie sets out on a campaign to rally the townspeople against the couple despite Matt's warnings of dire consequences.

When the end results is violence, there are lessons to be learned.

Kendall is in Wyoming Territory where the editor of the Cheyenne newspaper tells him about a recent judicial appointment in the town of Dry Gulch, located some 300 miles west.

It seems this small mining town has a new Justice of the Peace -- one Mrs. Amy Robinson. The appointment, he is told, may make Mrs. Robinson the first woman anywhere in the United States to hold such an office.

When Kendall arrives in town he quickly realizes Mrs. Robinson is the only barrier between a doomed Indian miner and an out of control lynch mob.
