Her impeccably written screenplay is brought to life by an ensemble that includes Claire Foy, Jessie Buckley, Rooney Mara, Judith Ivey, and of course one of our favorite BSA's on this podcast, "Stepping Out" and "House Arrest" scene stealer Sheila McCarthy. We get a brief cameo from the indomitable Frank, a heartbreaking Ben Wishaw as Best Supporting August, Ruth and Cheryl as two very important horses, some interesting parallels to the movie "She Said," and have we mentioned Sheila McCarthy, once again stealing a movie and our hearts? What more can we say, "Women Talking" deserves your attention.

According to Academy Award winner Jamie Lee Curtis, we all just won an Oscar! We can’t imagine a universe where we don’t love “Everything Everywhere All at Once” and its quantum leaping cast of Oscar nominees (and hopefully winners this weekend!). Michelle Yeoh is, in fact, everything, we want to see Ke Huy Quan everywhere after his awards season sweep, and all at once Jamie Lee Curtis has become our Hollyweird queen. Angela Bassett earns a much deserved Oscar nomination as Queen of Grief Ramonda in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” with a monologue that rivals a certain infamous dinner table meltdown. But we also get Best Supporting Okoye, Queen Michaela Cole, Iron Riri, LUPITA, Julia Louis-Dreyfus’s purple streak, Shuri’s grief journey, Namor’s bone structure and that great Rihanna song at the end.

Birthday Girl's Choice continues this week with Nick's pick: the original Broadway production of "Rent," featuring most of the original cast in its final performance, to say nothing of "Hamilton" BSA Renee Elise Goldsberry as Mimi and Eden Espinosa sending us over the moon as Maureen. Much to Colin's existential delight, this is far from the peak of musical theatre cringe but is actually a beautifully written and composed show worthy of its place in both Broadway history and the hearts of all those Rent-heads. That being said, we kind of wish Mark was gay.

Kerry Condon is our ring-side proxy for this battle as the Best Supporting Sister Who Stays, while also navigating her own internal battle over her future on Inisherin (and sporting a stunning yellow coat of her own). We have lots of feelings about dear Jenny the donkey, to say nothing of Colin Farrell’s eyebrows, and a hell of a time pronouncing all of these Gaelic names.
