  • Episode 100: The 1st Annual Westons!
To celebrate both our second podcast birthday and our 100th episode this week, we're having an imaginary awards show named after character actress Celia Weston! The Westons are a hall of fame, looking back over the last 99 episodes, of categories like best supporting sisters, best cigarette acting, best talking through tears and more. We also hand out the first ever Rita Moreno Award for Excellence, crown some queens, and name our BSA of the Year!

  • Episode 99: "Fatal Attraction" (Special Guest: Mark aka dublin_zoetrope!)
Our first ever Best Supporting Guest, Mark of Instagram's @dublin_zoetrope and host of "Oh Shut Up," joins us this week to discuss not only Anne Archer's BSA nomination as the beleaguered Beth Gallagher in 1987's "Fatal Attraction," but of course the Academy's eternal bridesmaid, Glenn Close, in perhaps her best well-known nominated performance. We discuss the origins of Mark's appreciation for Glenn, the infamous Oscars (aka "What Happened"), the State of Meryl Streep, the perils of an emphatic For Your Consideration campaign, the recipe for Jill Biden and whether all of Amy Adams nominations were legit. Plus: BSA of the Week is back this week, covering everything from movie musicals to fallen Disney stars, and what is becoming a requisite moment of celebration for The Other Two.

  • The Best Supporting Aftershow - Career paths, Novympia, and Best Supporting Group Chats
This week on the Best Supporting Aftershow we have a whole smorgasbord of topics to discuss! First, we journey into a deep conversation about career paths followed by our Best Supporting assignments. We wrap it up with our BSA's of the week where Nick bows down to the immense talent of Novympia in her masterful Ina Garten Parody. Colin then expresses his gratitude for the three ring circus that is the group chat with Jodie and Amanda of We love to Hate Everything and Total Request Podcast.

  • Episode 98: Emmy Destroy You
The 2021 Emmys resulted in a number of wins we both had our fingers and toes crossed for--most notably Julianne Nicholson, Jean Smart, Kate Winslet and Michaela Cole. So there's much to celebrate, but also much to dissect this week. A round-up of this year's winners leads eventually to our own takes on #EmmysSoWhite and why, for example, neither of us even watch shows like Insecure. Seth Rogen in 50 Shades of Clay isn't the only one asking the hard questions!

  • Episode 97: Best Supporting Canadians ("Come From Away")
The relatively recent critical/commercial titan of Broadway, "Come From Away," has come to AppleTV+ in a filmed stage production ala "Hamilton." While the true story of a small Canadian town in Newfoundland taking in 7,000 diverted airline passengers on 9/11 is lovely, the show itself had one of us hoping to be diverted from ever watching it again. While we do get, eventually, to a list of BSA's and find some highlights to celebrate, this is probably our most critical episode (watch your back, "Murder on the Orient Express"!) but also a productive one. But if you're a fan of Beulah, be forewarned. Even her khakis aren't safe from criticism.

  • The Best Supporting Aftershow : Ted in Progress
This week on the Best Supporting Aftershow we discuss lower back pain, New York City in your 30's, and Colin's new candles! We compare notes after our first Best Supporting Assignment and then move on to our BSA of the Week segment where Nick channels his inner gaymer and Colin spreads the good news of season 2 of Work in Progress!

  • Episode 96: The BSA's of "Airport '77" (1977)
Only in 1977 could you end up at the bottom of the ocean in a luxury airplane (with wall to wall brown carpeting) among the likes of Olivia de Havilland, Jack Lemmon, Lee Grant, Christopher Lee, Kathleen Quinlan, and that indomitable good time gal herself, Brenda Vaccaro. This week we're diving to the depths of 70's disaster films to discuss the BSA's among this all-star cast of underwater actresses.

  • The Best Supporting Aftershow : Mass Trailer and Best Supporting Assignment!
This week on The Best Supporting Aftershow we are talking about what we're listening to, watching, and queen out on the teaser trailer for Mass. After we introduce a new segment of The Best Supporting Aftershow, we dive into our BSAs of the week! Nick doles out some belated Birthday wishes, recommends a 90's Kids Instagram account, and gives a shout to to Amanda, Don, and Walter Kuchinski for stopping by Pittsburgh on their voyage back to Calgary. Colin throws us a twist when he reveals his two time BSA of the week, Brenda Vaccaro is having a good time!

  • Episode 95: PEN15 - "Jacuzzi"
It's Best Supporting Animation this week as we queen out on this much anticipated Season 2 episode of PEN15. Ana and Maya are just as awkward and endearing in this Mike Judge-style animated adventure in Florida with Ana's dad Curtis featuring love, danger, new friends, old wounds, very expensive ginger ale and one unfortunate caricature. This naturally brings up a lot of opinions on hotel breakfasts, hot tubs, delusions of pre-teen fashion, drunk foods, and of course, our enduring love for Ana and Maya in all forms. Plus we identify a surprise BSA by the end of the episode so this episode is totally on brand for this podcast after all!
