  • The Best Supporting Aftershow : The Pattern, Buffalo Mac, and Brenda Vaccaro
This week on the Best Supporting Aftershow we are talking about The Pattern, more early 90's video store nostalgia, and a belated queening out on The White Lotus theme song.
In our BSA of the Week segment, Nick recommends a recent Alright Mary triumph and a buffalo mac and cheese flatbread that will knock your socks off. Colin is happy to report that "Brenda Vaccaro is having a Good Time" just in time for us to wrap up the episode!

  • Episode 94: The BSA's of "The White Lotus" (2021)
We are checking into the exclusive White Lotus resort for a week of marital discord, zillennial angst, casual colonialism, accidental homicide and of course, so much great actressing! Mike White's HBO opus of privilege gone poisonous "The White Lotus" includes Connie Britton, Alexandra Daddario, Natasha Rothwell, Brittany O'Grady, Molly Shannon and of course, the icon, legend and moment of the summer of 2021, Jennifer Coolidge. We are counting down our Top 5 BSA's of the season, and much like the show itself, expect a lot of surprises, as well as a tangent on what exactly Aloha Nachos are.

  • Episode 93: Queen of the Hill
We have a soft spot for nuanced, animated moms, and so joining the Best Supporting ranks of Marge Simpson and Linda Belcher this week is "King of the Hill" queen, Peggy Hill. We're zooming in on the Season 11 episode "Peggy Horror Picture Show," in which Peggy unknowingly befriends a drag queen. We discuss Mike Judge, Brittany Murphy and Pamela Adlon, the bonkers Bill, surprisingly emotional animation, other parallels to The Simpsons and Bob's Burgers, and of course the fact that Peggy is voiced by Kathy Najimy. And have we mentioned this episode premiered in 2007 on Fox during primetime? That may come up a few times.

  • The Best Supporting Aftershow : Estate Sale Queens and White Lotus Gays
This week on the Best Supporting Aftershow we learn that Colin has made his first foray into the wonderful world of estate sales! The hosts chat about Lizzo's upcoming sophomore album, the Sex and the City reboot, and much more! In our BSA of the Week segment, Nick upgrades his sound equipment and cannot get enough of Happy Endings on Hulu, (specifically Zachary Knight). Colin gives a high recommendation to an early Kim Hunter vehicle in 1943's The Seventh Victim and officially declares himself as a White Lotus Gay.

  • Episode 92: My Best Supporting Actress's Wedding
While 1997's "My Best Friend's Wedding" may appear to be a romantic comedy starring Julia Roberts as our charismatic heroine, it's actually a psychological thriller in which Cameron Diaz as the kooky co-ed Kimmy becomes our heroine in peril, while the charismatic (and sultry) voice of reason is none other than George, an under-sung gay character (if not icon) of 90's cinema played by BAFTA-nominated Rupert Everett. Dermot Mulroney continues to be a delight to look at, even if his character might not be sharpest sports writer in the press box, Paul Giamatti pops up as a One Scene Queen, Susan Sullivan gives good Baranski, and dynamic duo Rachel Griffiths and Carrie Preston steal the show. We also have a lot to say about father of the bride Philip Bosco ("It Takes Two," anyone?), stressful kitchen scenes, Andy Garcia in "When a Man Loves a Woman," Lisa Ann Walter's wardrobe in "The Parent Trap," Cammy Diaz's big pork product energy, and feelings on the upcoming "My Best Friend's Wedding" musical.

  • The Best Supporting Aftershow : Well "Ann-Dowd"
This week on the Best Supporting Aftershow Colin is putting Nicks knowledge of Ann Dowd to the test in a game we like to call "Well Ann-Dowd." In our BSA of the Week segment Nick celebrates Colins expert level gif game, and introduces us to his new mini fridge, Fred. Colin has his first ever worst BSA and finally sat down to watch Barbara Barrie in the 1964 classic One Potato, Two Potato

  • Episode 91: Ann Dowd - The Aunt Lydia Episode ("The Handmaids Tale" S3 E8)
Blessed be, this week we're celebrating Best Supporting Podcast fave Ann Dowd in her most iconic role to date as Gilead's Aunt Lydia, in her infamous flashback episode from Season 3 of "The Handmaid's Tale." While the show overall may be a bit too grim for our tastes, we can't help but marvel at not only Ann's award-winning transformation, but the exquisite agony of Elizabeth Moss as June. We could do with less dead babies and the occasional joke wouldn't go astray, but we'll settle for a dolled up Lydia doing a karaoke duet of "Islands in the Stream."

  • The Best Supporting Aftershow : Hello, Molly!
This week on the Best Supporting Aftershow we are celebrating Molly Shannon in a trivia game entitled, "Hello, Molly!" In our BSA of the Week segment Nick gives a strong recommendation to Trader Joe's Dill Pickle Mustard, Ina Garten bloopers, and Cecily Strong's impeccable Ramona Singer impression on Las Culturistas. Colin gives high praise to a recent Beach Tent purchase, stoned Grandma youtube culture, and the winner of Drag Race España's epic wig reveal.

  • Episode 90: Molly Shannon & Other People in "Other People" (2016)
Molly Shannon's award-winning role in 2016's essentially perfect "Other People" is classic Best Supporting Podcast material--the charming cancer-stricken mother of a conflicted gay writer whose moved home from New York to contend with her death and his own demons. But then we get a supporting cast jam-packed with favorites, from the indomitable June Squibb to a scene-stealing D'Arcy Carden and the absolutely delightful Retta. We queen out on the cast and the moments, but also have a lot to say this week about Sacramento, grandparents, Netflix thumbnails, gay bars and, ugh, minivans.
