Big Picture: A follower of Jesus lives a life of active influence in the world for the glory of God. Followers of Christ do something that will make a difference in the world for the cause of Jesus Christ.

Big Picture: “I am not happy anymore”, the saddest statement a follower of Jesus Christ can say. Our happiness is not contingent on the things of this world. It is a pronounced blessing on those with character traits not of this world.

Big Picture: We will study the Sermon on the Mount, which lays out for us a righteousness that is not like anything ever before taught. It is taught by someone with authority like no one has ever shown. Jesus begins to bring out His church and the church was not like the culture.

Big Picture: Providence is believing God to be God. Which means God is trustworthy in every detail of our life. Trusting God with all the details empowers us to take risks for His glory.

Seeing God in the details.

Big Picture: The most difficult place to learn trust is in the face of death. The greatest place to show trust is in death. Death is an enemy that has been defeated by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ

Big Picture: Trust is an easy concept to understand, yet it is a concept that is harder to live out. David’s heart returned to trust and trust raised him from a self sufficient place to a God sufficient place.

Big Picture: God is seeking people to be worshippers, seeking people who will love Him with all their heart. The greatest attack is against our heart, so we would be distracted from worshipping and loving God.

Big Picture: God is a busy, He is busy with the million details of our lives. He is never too busy and never overwhelmed, a matter of fact He is working silently in our lives all the time. He is creatively orchestrating things so that we would stop and be in amazed by Him and to bring us to a place of wonder, worship and praise!

Big Picture: There seems to many Christians that knowing and following God's will is a mystical and subjective activity. It leaves many confused and feeling guilty about when what they should do. Christians are called to trust, wait and obey the all - powerful, all- knowing, gracious and loving God, that is His will.
