Bethel Church of Houston

The wondrous (indeed, miraculous) manner in which Jesus was born was not coincidence, nor was it a last-minute rescue plan. Rather, God was preparing Christmas since before time began. And His plans include you and me!

Lessons and Carols utlizes texts of Scripture and beautiful music and lyrics to instruct and remind us of the glories of what we now call "Christmas". God has spoken... through words... and through The Word. He is still speaking today!

"The Life Well Lived", 2 Timothy 2:1-7, Seth Thornton

As the Apostle encourages his protege, strengthening him for the future, he emphasizes the things that matter most. And these crucial matters still matter today!

Paul identified with Timothy in their shared heritage and legacy. But there were significant dissimilarities. They were of different generations, and Paul was in jail! At issue were Timothy's perceptions and attitudes about the Gospel itself. And so with us!

Huge tasks were ahead for Timothy, and soon Paul would no longer be around for counsel, encouragement, and strength. Let the preparations begin!
