Forgiveness - A commitment by the offended to pardon graciously the repentant from moral liability and to be reconciled to that person, although not all consequences are necessarily eliminated.

A letter written over 2,000 years ago, but more up-to-date than today's Chronicle. Paul's last will and testament, as it were. And with lessons for us today.

This Tuesday is an election of critical importance in our nation. How are we to think of such things, as citizens of "another country"?

In our praying, and living, the model prayer that Jesus taught His disciples, we've considered the provision we need daily and also the pardon we must find for our sinfulness. Today we think about protection: Why do we need it and what does it look like?

Forgiving others as God forgives us: both a responsibility of following Jesus, and also an indication that our walk is genuine. But how do we forgive? Especially when the hurt seems overwhelming, or justice seems unmet, or the guilty seems unrepentant?

The grace-drenched context of the disciples' prayer turns to our overwhelming debt to God. Unpacking forgiveness presents significant challenges and questions... some theoretical and some practical: our marriage, job, or closest friendships.
