While the Gospels concentrate on Jesus’ ministry on earth, the ascension defines the book of Acts as Christ’s work from heaven. Jesus has an established agenda for the Church in light of His return to finish His kingdom work.

Our agenda before His return? To be His witnesses unto the ends of the earth.

Over 2,000 years ago, Jesus gathered a small group of believers and he gave them a commission – to go and be witnesses to the ends of the earth. The world has been forever changed since that first commission from Christ to the church fathers. Bethel Church is the fruit of their efforts 2,000 years later.

Obviously anyone who has kids quickly will realize boys and girls can be dramatically different; and the book of Proverbs speaks about them in a different way as well. It takes a different set of skills according to the Bible to raise a daughter than a son.

“Boys will be boys.” Sometimes we’ll hear that excuse (or make it) when our son(s) make some unwise choices along the way. Thankfully, God’s Word has some great wisdom for parents/grandparents as to how they should encourage boys to become godly men who fear the Lord.
