Pastor Matt gives the second message in our Joshua series from Joshua 1:6-18, and gives context to the conquest of Canaan. The watchers, the nephilim, and other dark supernatural forces are the clear target of Joshua's conquest, and this puts the events to follow in a much different light.
We kick off a brand new series in the book of Joshua with an introductory message from chapter 1. Pastor Matt discusses the significance of the laying on of hands from Moses to Joshua, and how the Lord is truly the one who brings victory, not our efforts.
Message Notes
Pastor Matt gives a message from Hebrews 4 on Biblical rest. We see in the text that Joshua never achieved a complete conquest, and thus never allowing God's people to fully enter into the rest he had for them. Jesus, being a new Joshua, has delivered God's people and conquered the true enemy of the original conquest, giving us access to God's rest in it's fullness.
Message Notes
As we wrap up the Gospel of John, we see Jesus' call to forgiveness and reconciliation with Peter.
Message Notes
We find ourselves nearing the end of John's gospel, where Jesus meets peter and some other disciples on the shore. Jesus performs yet another miracle, but this one feels different. The disciples have gone back to work, back to the life they knew prior to Jesus. But here, Jesus meets them after he has risen. He never criticized them for going fishing, in fact like always, Jesususes the fishing to teach them and love them through the difficultseason.
Message Notes
As we near the end of the Gospel of John, we explore the interactions of Jesus and his disciples (Specifically Thomas) post-resurrection.
Message Notes
As we near the end of the Gospel of John, we see the resurrected Christ interacting with his Disciples.
Message Notes
As we wrap up our series in the Gospel of John, we talk about the resurrection, and pastor Matt asks the question "what are you doing" as we explore how Jesus' disciples respond to an empty tomb
As we near the end of John's Gospel, we take a look at the Crucifixion of Jesus. Pastor Matt talks about how Jesus fulfills the scriptures, and asks how the death of Jesus has or should change our lives.
Message Notes
In the last hours of His life, Jesus is condemned and sent to the cross. We see God's providence in how Jesus brings fulfillment to many scriptures, but we also see "signs from the sign" himself. Pastor matt brings three signs to our attention:1. When you are in your darkest moment, theLord still has the power and control over you,not your enemy.2. When you are misrepresented in your witness, the Lord’s definition of you is all that matters.3. When you are embarrassed and exposed, theLord will use it for His glory and his purposes.
