The NHL has a packed schedule as the calendar turns to March. There are nine games on tap as teams look to solidify playoff standing with the regular season starting to feel the shadow of the playoffs looming.
The two-time Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning should be fresh and fit after a couple days off following their Stadium Series game in Tennessee against the Predators. Tampa Bay will play host to Ottawa on Tuesday.
The Edmonton Oilers need to grab as many points as they can and they will face a Philadelphia Flyers squad that has struggled. Still, playing on the road can be tiring and the Wells Fargo crowd is hostile.
The Montreal Canadiens have suddenly found the winning touch and while they are far out of contention, they will be able to hassle the Winnipeg Jets as Canadian teams lock up.
In one of the better matchups on the tab, the Calgary Flames visit the Minnesota Wild. And the New York Islanders face an uphill struggle as they continue on the road, this time against the vaunted Colorado Avalanche.
The last couple faceoffs are at 10 p.m. ET and they see the Sharks travel to Vegas to meet the Golden Knights and the big, bad Bruins in Anaheim to duel the Ducks.
