It is All-Star Weekend in the NHL. The game will take place in Las Vegas and the one thing people can be sure of is there will be lots of fun, offense and spectacular goaltending. The league also has its skills competitions and the fans love watching those.

During the second intermission, recording artist Machine Gun Kelly will perform so those in attendance and watching on television won’t want to stray far from their seats or couches.The tournament will feature three games played in the three-on-three format. Each of the four teams will include six forwards, three defensemen and two goaltenders.

The calendar has turned the page to February after blasting through January. The NHL heads into the second month of the year with a huge slate of 12 games.

The Seattle Kraken meet the Boston Bruins in one of five games slated for 7 p.m. ET puck drop. Playing the Bruins on the road should be a challenge for the expansion team.

Speaking of challenges, the San Jose Sharks definitely have a test on their hands as they meet the Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning. In the 8 p.m. Eastern hour, the Nashville Predators welcome the Vancouver Canucks at the top of the hour and at the bottom of it Calgary is at Dallas.

The schedule wraps up with the lowly Arizona Coyotes facing the sizzling Colorado Avalanche and the Buffalo Sabres in Sin City to take on the Vegas Golden Knights.
